Great position in front of the beach; even if we went by night, we didn't enjoy the view but we ate with the sound of the ocean,it was awesome! The little restaurant is very nice and well detailed, and the food was good too; I had a big piece of fish with a sauce made up of tropical fruits, it... More

We asked 4 different people in Montezuma for restaurant guidance and got the same answer each time - Cocolores. Good food, nice location next to beach. Only drawback - no credit cards.

This is the second time my wife has ordered steak here, the last being in 2011. She shared some with me and it was truly delicious. I had the large shrimp and they were very good as well. The breeze does not seem to always penetrate this seaside local, but the food is great.

We ate at Cocolores once during our week in Montezuma. I wanted something other than a casada that it seemed we'd been eating all week. I had an appetizer of bruchetta which was outstanding and for dinner, the pasta carbonara which was delicious. My husband wasn't feeling well and stuck with the grilled chicken, which he enjoyed as well. We... More

I've been visiting this restaurant several times annually since 2001. The host is always quick to greet you at the entrance and welcome you in. The setting hasn't changed much over the years, but there's no need it is perfectly charming. The food is always excellent and the bartender absolutely knows how to make a cocktail. Love this place!

I was almost afraid to try beef anymore in Costa Rica when Cocolores was recommended to us. I tried the blue cheese filet and it was great (comparatively speaking of course). Our host Maximillian was awesome, the Italian wine was fantastic and the bread was tasty. The location right off the beach was super (especially the night we were there... More

We went here several times. Really enjoyed the fresh clams. Pasta was also good. Nice selection of drinks.

Without question, the best thing I ate in Costa Rica was the Pepper steak at Coccalorres in Montezuma. The restaurant is tucked away off of "Main St". in Montezuma and is certainly worth seeking at. From the candlelit tables one can clearly hear the sound of the surf through the trees. Like most Tico restaurants the menu is plain but... More

Located on the beach in the Southeast corner of the one block "downtown". Also had a wonderful spaghetti carbonara. Take cash - no credit cards. Take more cash because the local ATM only works occasionally.
