Bain Street Grill is a small restaurant in Richmond Hill that is very popular. I advise you to book a table in advance to avoid being disappointed. Our waitress was friendly and engaged in appropriate banter with our group of 10 people and was very helpful with recommendations when we asked. Their food is really good, tasty and reasonably priced.... More

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere tremendously - fantastic steaks and unusual combinations. My only issue was that the manager (I think) was a bit too familiar. Granted, one of my party did speak to him and ask questions about the restaurant, but he then talked and talked and hung about for too long. Three of our party started talking... More

Had never eaten there before and wow what a great evening. Menu is small and focused but how many differdent type of steaks do you want to choose from. I had the red wined and salted rump and my wife had the Karoo lamb chops. Both were excellent choices and the quality of the meat was outstanding. Service from the... More

It is nice and cosy. The food is great, the price better, the service the best!

This is a small restaurant, with around only 12 tables (so book early), but well worth a visit. The food is of excellent standard, well presented and reasonably priced. My gurnard fish fillets were superb, some of the best fish I have tasted in a long time. The evening can be rather long, although this did not matter to our... More

What a cute, quaint, adorable little spot tucked away in the new Richmond Hill restaurant hub. they offer grilled everything. Prices are above average. Wine is by the glass or the bottle. The menu is on chalk boards in the walls. Candles, dark walls and soft lighting create an atmosphere and I can certianly say I love this little place.... More

Very simple menu but delightful execution. Restaurant is small and gets busy, so can also be noisy, so not for the hard of hearing or those looking for a 'quiet' dinner. Try the Roosterkoek, which is served warm, ahead of tucking into some lovely Karoo lamb!

The restaurant in Richmond Hill may not look fancy, but it serves the most sumptuous dishes. It’s nice and small which means the service is good and the kitchen can easily cope with all the tables.. The waitress was friendly and very helpful, making recommendations when we asked for it. Drinks always came fast and it we didn't wait for... More
