We were recommended this as a "must" by a good friend who has been to Sedona several times and we were warned the wait is long. We planned on the 1.5 hour wait and did not show up already hungry. There was a line to put our name in for the wait, a line to get a drink from the... More

Margaritas are awesome, Elote appetizer is one not to miss, nightly special chorizo appetizer and red snapper entree may have been one of our best meals in the USA, Europe and Australia. I don't like their policy of having guests show up at 5 PM and add their name to the waiting list (no reservations - their policy as long... More

The lines are long The food is great I had read a suggestion to get the food 'take-away'. That was a great suggestion and we did it. It allowed us to go and see the sunset across the rocks.

Salsa and margaritas (S & M) are both worth the wait at Elote. By far one of the best places in Sedona (along with another favorite, Heartline Cafe). Brought Fernando back to AZ and he insisted on a "really good dinner" in the red rocks of Sedona. Kudos for a creative menu (nuevo latino satisfies the foodie and the comfort... More

Because this spot is so highly rated we decided to check it out especially since there aren't a lot of restaurants in Sedona. We knew there would be a long wait so we arrived a bit early. When we pulled up there was an ambulance ce and paramedic vehicle out front. Did someone get sick from the food? Just kidding... More

My husband & I had such a great experience at Elote Cafe! We were wrapping up our honeymoon in Sedona & decided to stop in for dinner. The hostess Susie was so sweet & made our experience 100x better. She made special arrangements because it was our honeymoon. The food was delicious. We had the Elote appetizer, I had the... More

Authentic Mexican food and an extremely professional staff make dining here a pleasure. You might hear that the wait is long (no reservations) but while you wait I highly recommend ordering a couple margaritas, the best we had in Sedona, and hanging out. The best restaurant we found in Sedona, and not your typical 'Mexican' fare.

Popular for a very good reason: two cuts above typical American-Mexican fare. Great drinks, creative menu & fun. One of, if not our very favorite in Sedona (with kids)

Yes, there's the wait. We tried to get to Elote at the suggested time, but missed the 'first seating" by 5 minutes and were told the wait would be 45 minutes. It turned out to be an easy wait. We each got the margarita special (so delicious) and sat on the verandah, enjoying the perfect weather. This restaurant far exceeded... More

My husband and I enjoyed a special dinner there last week, while on vacation in Sedona. Plan on an excellent dining experience, rather than "just getting something to eat." Their egalitarian system of standing in line to get a table was discouraging at first, but we're glad we joined the line. No reservations accepted, so you go at 4:30, to... More
