We only went for coffee and pie (my partner's first true American pie experience - she's from Australia), and it was great. The dutch apple pie was a veritable mountain of streusel topping, the service was friendly and the atmosphere charming. A very sweet place! more

We stopped at the Pine Country in with our family of five before we hopped on the Polar Express. This included myself, my husband and our three children. The Pine Country Restaurant was about a block from the hotel. Very small-town comfortable. Breakfast is served from 5:30 am and for those of us who like to get up and get going, that was perfect. For a nice diner that offers excellent country food make sure to check this place out. I love the pine interior and gift shop. They also offer a gorgeous array of huge pies. more

It was pretty busy on a Saturday morning, but we were seated straight away and service was quick. Unfortunately the coffee was only just warm so we had to ask for fresh, which was brought promptly. The food was fine - nothing outstanding. I had steak and eggs and the steak was overcooked considering I'd asked for it medium rare.... more
