Location cannot be beat! Overlooking the ocean, you have sounds of waves and the cool ocean breeze wafting through the outdoor dining section.

Pick this cafe for the view and with a tiny bit of planning you will get the seat you want. With the surf shop next door and the always interesting people watching, my family usually waits barely long enough to finish shopping/watching. Whether you order the fish & chips (my kid's fav) or the grilled fish tacos or only the...

Great place to eat. Have been many times, the service and food is always good! You can't beat the view or the food. I Highly recommend this place to all, it is a great value and fun place to eat.
We knew this local hole-in-the-seawall would be busy at normal mealtimes, so we stopped by at about 2 for a late lunch. We were attended to quickly, and ordered the Wednesday special fried fish tacos, but the food took a LONG time,...

You will be attracted by the location. You will be lucky if you actually sit where you can have a view. You will want the fish and chips. You will be lucky if you decide to order the fish tacos. You will want to see your server. You will be lucky if you see her before your check arrives.
Like the new tables, but I will no longer tip 15-20% for a lack luster dining experience. I do not appreciate food being dumped in front of me and no further service. No refills on cold drinks and if you can catch a server you might get a bit of hot water for your HOT Tea! I should be asked...

We really enjoyed our dinner here, great fish and chips! The prices are also good, and the location is great too! We'll be back!
We live in Carlsbad in the summer, and this is a must stop every year. Nothing fancy, but plenty of satisfying food. Great chowder and fish and chips. I don't understand all the complaints about prices. The view of the sunset from an outdoors table is to die for.
I had shrimp, salad and lemonade for $20. The seafood was decent seafood but nothing to brag about. I feel like the menu was priced a little on the high side for the area.
At first glance the price seems much for a single grilled fish taco but the taco is huge and the food is amazing.
