There are so many excellent restaurants in Carmel, many of them French that I would not waste my time on this one. The cuisine was average and the ambiance..... well there wasn't any.

Excellent wine and delicious food in a small, centrally located restaurant in downtown Carmel, CA.
Not a late night place, we had an 8:45 reservation and closed the place down by 10:00. The food was delicious, very rich and very French. The bread was excellent. The wine selection is amazing (and a bit pretentious!) but the recommendations by the sommelier...

Atmosphere is great and so is the food. They were featuring mushrooms that night so I had the soup and the veal chop. Both were outstanding. My wife said her steak was one of the best she had ever had. We look forward to eating here again the next time we are in Carmel.
Wonderful lunch. My wife had French Onion soup and I had Wild Mushroom soup. Served hot and tasty. Came with fresh bread. Nice wine selection. Very good service.
Nine of us dined in the beautiful wine room. This restaurant was recommended by a friend from Lodi as THE place to eat while in the area. Everyone of our dishes were spectacular and the service was impeccable.
Highlights included the arugula salad, the salmon wrapped asparagus, the bouillabaisse, veal chops, Cornish hens, seared scallops. Fabulous dessert!
Huge wine list...

The owners, the food, the chef, the staff and the wine list (in no particular order) of this high-end eatery all excel in delivering a classic Parisian bistro experience. We ate sea scallop carpaccio, ris de veau, and an enormous veal chop (the latter two both served with a wild mushroom/port wine reduction). But those were just choices that caught...

Despite not having a reservation, we were warmly welcomed by the charming owner, with whom we chatted at the end of a leisurely & memorable meal Our waiter, a gregarious & knowledgeable young man originally from Guadalajara provided attentive but unobtrusive service. While the specials sounded tempting, I opted for the Carpaccio de Boeuf to start, followed by the Pan...

The food here is mouth-watering! Terrific service, fantastic ambience and truly delightful food. We started with the Lobster Bisque which was seasoned just right and not too overly creamy- followed by Scallops in Saffron sauce delicately prepared and scallops seared to perfection.
Went to Sierra Mar at the Post Ranch Inn earlier in the week and while that restaurant's vistas...

Being in Carmel for during my birthday week, we wanted to celebrate in style.
We read the reviews of restaurants and while strolling around town we stopped at Andre's Bouchee. After speaking to the hostess and looking a the menu, we made reservations for the next evening.
Cutting to the chase: this was definitely the best meal and enjoyable evening...

Overall I was impressed with the presentation and flavors of the food and a bit disappointed by some of the visual aspects of the restaurant.
The good stuff: All of our dishes were well balanced flavor-wise, very attractively plated, and cooked to perfection. We ordered the smoked salmon and asparagus appetizer which was amazing. Crisp, bright asparagus with tender fish...
