My expectation is that if you're on the coast seafood should be fresh and great, right? But in a small town, you may or may not find someplace where the seafood isn't deep fried. Silver's was a pleasant surprise...nicely prepared meal and the fish was cooked perfectly. Nice view along the water.

Probably we didn't choose the right dishes, we were not that impressed. For us the food were just OK. The service was good though.

Our neighbors were staying in Fort Bragg and we were staying in Mendocino. After living across the street from each other, we met 200 miles to have dinner together. They suggested Silver's at the Wharf. The last time we ate there in January 2000, it was mostly fried battered fish style meals and iceburg lettuce with ranch dressing. We were... More

We went on recommendation by our motel and were not disappointed by the food. I liked the fish I had and so did my friend. Food - Thumbs up! The interior doesn't compare to high end big city restaurants, but neither do the prices. It seems to be the place to go to in Fort Bragg. Getting there at the... More

We have eaten at this place twice. Everyone raves about this place and it sucks. Are first experience was horrible but we thought we would give it another shot. What a mistake. Both times the service was horrible. Had to wait for the server and tried to get there attention and was totally ignored. We ordered soda with our meal... More

When we go to Fort Bragg this is a must. It doesn't look like much on the outside but inside are great views, nicely set tables with cloth tablecloths, and delicious food. Their tartar sauce is the best I have ever tasted. Do try the crab cakes, but ask for the relish and tartar sauce. Put the relish on the... More

I have to say, Silver's food and service is a very strange juxtaposition. My wife loves Silver's, and its view across the Noyo River. The window seats can be very pleasant and relaxing. The bar carries some real top shelf offerings, the wine list continues to improve and surprise. Its children friendly. Silver and his kitchen team generally know exactly... More

The restaurant is clean and neat; and old and funky in a good way. I doubt anything has changed in 30 years. The clam chowder in a bread bowl was good, but not great; salad was fine; but not great. Friendly waiter, everything just fine. It was odd being in casual clothes sitting next to a family who were dressed... More

On our last trip to Fort Bragg, we loved Silver's so much we ate there every night. So our first night back in1-1/2 years, we headed down there. Ordered a Cosmo & Marguerita (13.99), not good enough to order refills. Ordered the seafood platter ... so very disappointed. Only thing that was fresh were the prawms. Scallops were chewy and... When our first choice for dinner turned out to be closed on a Tuesday night, we decided to try somewhere new and that took us to Silver's on the Wharf. It seemed like sort of a weird location - under the bridge in a sort of dirty looking location... but it turns out there are several restaurants and even a... More
