We like to go on Thursday for the inexpensive bar menu and the guitarist who starts playing at 6pm. The fish tacos and nachos are great.
We've enjoyed the Mexican food and ambiance of Maria's in Grass Valley for 14 years, since we moved here. We had our celebration dinner there when we moved in and have celebrated there many times since. My husband really enjoys the Chile Verde and I love the Taquitos a la Mexicana. The restaurant has been enlarged within the past few... More
We requested outside seating since the weather was wonderful! Food was really excellent, and especially a bargain on multiple item orders if you take an item home for snacktime later. Service was excellent with refills of beverage, and our enchiladas, tacos, chips salsa.... all were tops! Would gladly go again!
The food was great, the service was slow, not because of our server. Our server was very good, but she needed help. I don't know if we chose a day when servers were off sick or the owner needed to hire more help. The restaurant is very nicely appointed.

This time we took better note of our experience and, unfortunately, found this trip to be... More
You can always rate a Mexican restuarant by the salsa they bring to the table with the chips. Maria's salsa is fresh and spicy. Loved it! We ordered the special of the day Chipolte Chicken Enchilada they were excellent. Service was slow (not a big crowd) but worth the wait.
