The restaurant is charming, but the food was hit and miss. We had a lovely salad and fish, but we had very overcooked meat and undercooked vegetables. Overall it seems a little pricey for the quality.

wonderful food, even though the menu is not huge, there are choices for everyone including vegetarians. We were with a very large group, the service was attentive and food was well timed which is hard with 16 people. Everyone in the group loved their meals and some of our group had eaten there a few nights prior. Based on the...

Came in with a few friends. This place is always great. Good food. Knowledgable staff, and we always leave feeling like it was money well spent.
This was just 2 min walk from the B&B that we stayed at. A prior reservation is recommended as it is a small charming place. We loved the food that we ordered. The special - Beet risotto with salmon and sturgeon fillet tasted amazing.
A memorable experience and delicious meal by all. The only difficulty was in picking which delightful dish to savour and which of the many wines to pair with them. From arrival to departure the service was seamless and courteous. Food prepared to perfection with every bight sumptuous. The coconut cream pie had to be defended by wandering spoons! Simply wonderful.
Went on memorial week end for the first time, I have read all the reviews and I also own one of there cook books, The atmosphere was great, service was first class and knowledgable, We both had the steak filet's with the blue cheese sauce which was cooked to perfection, This place keeps it simple but should never change a...

The cafe was surprisingly upscale for such a laid back kind of town. All of our meals were delicious. There were many interesting/tempting offerings. It was pricey, as you would expect for the food quality.
Cozy, top-notch restaurant in Mendocino... go hungry! Ordered the duck entree and a beautiful beet salad. Everything was delicious, but extremely rich. Enjoyed the ambiance very much. Be sure to make a reservation early as this place is tiny and fills up fast!
After a brief downslide, when we stopped going there, we had a fabulous dinner under new ownership and chef. It was special years ago and it is special again. Make sure to book!
Delicious, innovative dishes using local sources. The starter beet salad with chevre cheese, etc was so good - I could have eaten another dish of it as a main course! Hearing my comments, diners at the next table selected this salad too - and they were just as pleased. Choosing the entree was difficult - several tempting choices. I opted...
