We had breakfast here on our first morning in Morro Bay. It was foggy, beautiful, and early enough to have a very quiet and peaceful experience. Our waitress was the best, very upbeat, cheerful, personable, and sincerely cared about all of the guests in the restaurant. We could tell she had a great relationship with her regulars and was incredibly... More

Dog friendly, great views, good food and reasonable prices - what else could you ask for? Well, only beer and wine but they serve breakfast all day. We had their Greek spinach salad and avocado tomato salad, couple of glasses of wine, couple of beers and the tab came to $45.00. Friendly service and one of the best views. Extensive... More

My husband and I are local Morro Bay residents, and we are always searching for a good place to eat with reasonable prices, and we found that here! with great food, happy hour, live music, friendly service, and a great dog friendly patio, with a amazing view of the rock. So happy to have another option in Morro Bay. This... More

In January, we arrived early on a Friday morning. They were accomodating to prepare 2 gluten free adaptations and 2 vegan adaptations of selections on the menu. All was tasty and quickly served.

Please be advised: They allow dogs to stay at the tables and roam around. You do not want to have to eat with a 70lb dog sitting next to you. I have nothing against dogs but do not want them next to me at breakfast. The server we had brought us menus and coffee and tea. then we waited and... More

Friendly staff, quick with the seating and water. Waited about ten minutes before the order was taken. Food came out reasonably fast after ordered, considering the limited wait staff spread between outside and inside seating. Food was tasty, though toast was not buttered, and rock hard, cold butter cubes are always a turn off. Prices reasonable, especially in light of... More

Varied menu - we love "The Rock":-). Choice of outdoor seating in the open, in glassed-in area (wind shelter) or indoors.

The food seems a bit expensive for what you get, and I wasn't thrilled by their "award winning" clam chowder. But the view is marvelous, and if you're sitting at the outside tables you can have your dog with you...a big plus!

Alan and Denise have made subtle but good improvements in the feel of this spot and the food is always excellent. They have good choices for the light eater or the folks that want to pig out. A great place to people watch right on the water.

Lovely views of Morro Bay and Rock from this friendly waterfront cafe with a coffee house feel. Hubby had a standard American breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, potatoes) while I had classic eggs benedict. Both were good. Nice touches: they weren't stingy with the hollandaise and the meals included slices of fresh cantaloupe and pineapple. Our one complaint: expected better coffee... More
