Went here with family for mother's day. We chose the location because some of us live in San Diego and some live in LA, so it was half way for everyone. THe food was delicious, especially the Ahi Poke appetizer with guacamole! I was disappointed that they had ran out of scallops and had the grilled sole instead. It was... More

Well we admit it: we were looking for good eats in a good bar scene. Hey can you blame us? It's So. Cal.? What we found was a great bartender but really average on everything else across the board. The burger was okay, the sangria okay for one without fruit, the shrimp pasta "okay." Okay you get it. We would... More

We celebrated my mom's 82nd birthday here! She likes fish, so she had halibut. My daughter and I split the shrimp angle hair pasta, and for appetizer we ordered the coconut crusted shrimp. Everything was delicious. The waiter was attentive and funny. They brought my mom the dessert of her choice (pineapple coconut cake) with candle on top. She really... More

We have eaten at several Tommy Bahama restaurants, and at this one more than once. I guess having not been here at the Newport store for some time, we remembered why we have not returned. While the staff is excellent, the menu pretty much the same as the other TB stores, this place was designed in a manner that explodes... More

The beach communities of Southern California have some of the best restaurants in the state. This gem is family friendly and has a varied menu in a tropical, relaxing, spacious atmosphere. On our latest visit, seven of us celebrated our youngest daughter's birthday. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Most of the menu items are offered in your choice... More

My wife and I visited TB's last week for have a celebratory birthday lunch for her. Wonderful diverse menu and quite simply the nicest waiter. Had the Grilled Ahi salad which was the best I ever had. My wife order the same and agreed with me. Then they topped it off with a complimentary coconut cake, which is probably why... More

Sunday evening, daylight savings time just started, all off schedule. Crowded due to weekend sale but we were seated immediately for a 6:30 reservation. A drink to start and then we ordered. She had the tiger shrimp and pasta with three nice-sized shrimp on a bed of angel hair pasta flavored with sundried tomatoes in a light garlic sauce. I... More

Whenever we travel to Newport Beach, we make it to Tommy Bahamas. Don't be put off by thinking this is a tropical cafe. The food and service are the best. Try the patio and ask for Ermelito as your server - a real pro. Honestly, one of our favorites.

I love Tommy Bahama's clothes line, so when I found out during a Disney trip that there was a restaurant close by, we went! We had the goat cheese plate and crab cakes for appetizers. Those were to die for. Our 2nd course was the spinach and fried egg salad. Again..to die for. For our main course, we all ordered... More

Tommy Bahama's prix fixe for Restaurant Week is our favorite! $30 and we get had the Crab Bisque/lovely salad, some of the best Swordfish EVER over a bed of roasted corn with tomato, spinach--an unusual succotash, plus both agreed that the Key Lime Pie was the perfect blend of tart and sweet on a graham cracker crust that sets the...
