This was a great place for me to hang while my wife shopped for Christmas presents. Very good service with very friendly staff.
Very nice ambiance and very good food and service. Had a really great waiter. The blackened fish tacos and the grilled chicken breast sandwich were very good. The Seared Ahi Tuna Burger was just ok….Kale, Beech & Shiitake Mushrooms, Edamame Hummus, Sweet Sesame, Taro Chips $19.50.Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich- Pepper Jack, Tomato, Avocado, Mango Aïoli, Sweet Potato Fries $13.50. Okay, let me preface this review by saying that I've only been here to happy hour which is like from 4 to 6 or 6:30, not sure exactly. I must say every single items on the happy hour menu is great and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend it. The only problem is you may have to wait... More
Finally got around to trying this restaurant and unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Went here with a large family group and everybody was expecting some really good food after reading the menu, but what we got was very ordinary food, nothing special. Several people didn't finish their meals because the food was either over cooked or tasteless. The service... More
I had the best coconut shrimp and after all these years they have the best in twon that I have eaten. It is always perfect and delicious. Never disappointed. My party had the Seared ahi sandwich which they said it was excellent. The sandwich came with shitake mushrooms and a aioli sauce which was very tasty and beautifully presented. Atmosphere... More
We were a group of seven who asked for only two separate checks. Our waiter was too busy trying to impress us with his culinary knowledge to actually listen. He was overbearing and inserted his comments into our conversations, trying to be witty and entertaining. The food was fine but the experience tainted by our server.
My wife and I joined a friend for dinner. It was pretty busy, mostly in the bar area. The service was unspectacular as was the food. My fillet was very good but my wife's fish was very dry. She was very disappointed as she expected better from them. When we left at 7:30 the place was almost deserted telling me... More
Although our reservation was honored with hardly any wait the food was just average and the service by some was mishandled. In the midst of a fairly nice shopping center in Newport Beach the restaurant does not stand out more than Peet's or Sprinkles or any other eatery. Inside it is well appointed but not elegant or quiet as it... More
Nicely themed restaurant with good selection of menu items focusing on fish and seafood. Appetizers portions a little small for group sharing. Generally food was well prepared and presented. Kitchen seemed a little slow with long waits between courses. Parking is a real problem with this location.
Made reservations a week in advance and still had to wait. Our waiter took our order then came back and said they had run out of scallops dish and the order would be delayed because we had to choose another entree. Really? Appetizers were great: coconut shrimp, crab cakes. Mango and fish gazpacho was mostly fruit and not worth the... More
