Order it all. Go vegetarian, or add steaks/ fish/ organic chicken. I started w butternut squash croquetas, Peruvian humus (pumpkin seed instead of beans) and yucca fries. Amazing! I ordered a Desert Heat cocktail: reposada tequila, pineapple, grapefruit, lime and jalapeño. I have found an amazing restaurant!!

One of the few places left in downtown Palo Alto where you can get a drink without having 6 TV screens blaring sports and/or CNN in the background. The food is just so-so, the drinks, service and atmosphere are very good. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

Downtown Palo Alto - Great location and stylish, low-key atmosphere. The food is fantastic - tapas style and OH SO TASTY. I loved the brussels sprouts and calamari - I'm going back just for those two dishes. Plus they have a wide selection of scotch and make a pretty great drink. Enjoy!

Located downtown Palo Alto we stumbled into Joya Restaurant and Lounge, with outside seating we met with the Chef Fabrice Roux, who with much delight walked us through the menu. We ordered 4 Tapas, which was more than enough food, a special treat was OMG chorizo corn dogs! Empanadas either vegetarian or not, there was something on the menu for... More

This restaurant was great for a business lunch. Tapas perfect size for sharing lots of little plates which will fill you up. Laquered short rib tacos were delicious, as were very crispy fried calimari, roasted brussel sprouts, and crab cakes--lots of spice/heat. No need for main course with all of these appetizers. Very reasonably priced for the quality and amount... More

We were in Palo Alto for business and stopped by for a late lunch after a business meeting. We were thrilled we were able to get a table right away and the had someone taking our orders almost as soon as we sat down. Great! We opted for the Joya salad and soup, which were both delicious. For our mains,... More

This place is always packed so it was that our reservation offered us a lovely table inside. Intimate setting but no overcrowding of tables. The wait staff was fabulous---we didn't have to wait for our water to be refilled, etc. They came without us noticing that our table was cleared for the next course, etc. The Spanish food was authentic... Tried out Joya for the first time for my birthday luncheon. Nice restaurant, hostess not so great or friendly, but the wait staff was very good. We shared the Joya salad (just ok), shortrib tacos (the meat alittle dry), excellent brussel sprouts (anything with bacon is good), chorizo corn dogs (sausage was dry and hard), shrimp w/ sausage was very...
