Had french toast that was very nice. Menu was varied offering quite a few tempting alternatives both savory and sweet.
This Le Boulange restaurant impress spacious than most of the other Le Boulange sites. It has both nice indoor and outdoor seatings. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean and appealing. My favorite, the almond croissant, is available all day. That is a plus and not always true in other Le Boulange location. The sandwiches are all well... More
I came here with my husband 2 Sundays ago during the music festival (University Ave was closed just for the special event) to poach off of the free wifi and grab a drink. My husband decided to get a large chai latte. When we first walked into this place, we passed through the outdoor tables and saw large bowls with... More
This is one of those places where the acoustic shatters your ears. Everyone's chattering away, on their phones or in person. Personally, I find that horrifying. To its credit, Boulange has a nice sun-deck, and great coffee. The food is, well, café food. I'd go back for espresso but food-wise I prefer to make a salad at home.
What a great happenstance find! We came here when Loving Hut was closed on Sunday, needing some lunch on our way to the art fair in Menlo Park. On this beautiful day, we wanted to sit outside and wanted some light-ish lunch food, which is what this place specializes in-- that classic sort of bistro brunch and lunch fare. We... More
Love, love the pasteries here. The cupboard full of yummy goodies, how do you pick? I would recommend coming for breakfast. Both for tje pasteries as well as the hot cooked breakfast. They also do lunch, but lunch is just ok from my perspective.
We came here for lunch and the sandwiches were okay. Portion is pretty big. Order accordingly. I would skip the pastry. After the starbucks' acquisition, I find the quality of their pastry going down. The Madeleine used to be pretty good but the ones that we got were dried. They look great. I just wish that they taste good, too.
This is a great place for 3:30 pm coffee and pastry. The sandwiches are above average but save your calories for the baked goods. I ate an entire baguette in one sitting. Free wi-fi can lead to crowds and loiterers, but I guess that's the point.
Tasty coffee by the bowl (not cup, but bowl). Soups. Pastries. Bright informal atmosphere. Friendly and courteous service at the walk-up counter. Plenty of rustic seating inside and (sort of ) outside in a sunlit covered and enclosed patio. All this made for a very nice break-time interlude. A bit noisy in the patio area (not much in the way... More
