I had a lamb shawarma plate and my wife had a chicken shawarma wrap. We sat outside. Staff was very friendly. Food was great. I couldn't finish all the food in one sitting. Hummus was very good. You can get pickles and peppers yourself.

Four of us stopped for lunch, but decided the breakfast looked so good, we had late brunch, We were not disappointed, the service was great, and girls most helpful, told us how to find a winery we were looking for, in fact gave a good map, We will stop here again.

Went in today to get a gyro, and watched the chef drop meat on the ground, pick it up, and put it back in my meal. When confronted about this, the chef insulted me by calling me stupid, pointed at the menu and started yammering in another language, Pointing at me to the other employees, and refused to speak English... Always consistent!! Love their Falafal, hummus and grilled veggies. New location is nice and has more parkeing then the older one.

This has always been a favorite place for Pita Wraps and Gyros. The ambiance in the old location however left a lot to be desired. They are now in a new location in a new building right on Monterey Street. Bib, big difference. Both inside and patio seating. Food is still quite good and the prices quite reasonable. My wife... Meditteranean in SLO. My favorite is the Giro sandwich, the meat combo plate, with side salad and pita bread/hummus. Oh yeah this is what I'm talking about, savory food!!

It looks like they are renovating. I was hoping to pick up some harissa, but the little grocery is gone. The sandwiches were just ok. The pita tasted like it was made with baking powder in addition to yeast. Not good.

If you have been to Jaffa or Soho (UK), you will feel right at home at this place. Adnan is a gracious host and a reason by himself to visit. Adam is the surly chef, but he will give you a smile if you are a regular. The food is perfect as is the wild ambiance. It get's very busy... More

Jaffa Cafe is the original Greek food restaurant in San Luis Obispo. They cannot be beat, they have all the traditional Greek favorites. The inside of the restaurant is also like a Greek grocery store, offering a lot of imported food items. Jaffa Cafe is located right next to Petra, which is another Greek food restaurant that is literally right... More

Stopped in on the way home to SoCal based on the good reviews. Tried the gyro and lentil soup daily special and it was terrific. The reviews were right on...one of the best gyros I've had in a long time. Pita was fresh and soft and the gyro was loaded with meat. The soup was excellent as well. Be aware... More
