My wife and I were in Santa Barbara and wanted to drop in the new Margerum tasting room just off State Street. While there, we walked by the Wine Cask and, since were getting a little hungry, thought we'd stick our heads in the door. Are we glad we did! We had a magnificent dinner, which was served by professional... More

Wine list was as expected, extensive and varied in price. Kale salad as an appetizer was a very good choice. Pork belly was delicious. Server knew the menu and wine list very well. Great choice.

Come ready for indulgence! Order every course because they are fairly small, but delicious and very contemporary. I enjoyed salad and tuna, while I heard the other courses of duck and lamb were outstanding. It did take us a long time to order wine because the list is so extensive. Have a cocktail while you are waiting! A very intimate... More

amazing setting off a side street, twinkling lights and cobblestones, outside tables, excellent wine list and great original small plates. Loved it!

I think that, to their value, I would expect something better... However, meals have a very beatiful appareance... very nice and quiet place.

Five of us went to this lovely restaurant mid week. Great decor, friendly competent service, good food. A really extensive wine list, almost too extensive to choose from. Our waiter was perfect, sensing the right times to discretely check on the table. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, five different meals and all pretty good.

I took my UCSB senior son to the Wine Cask on Saturday night. The atmosphere was fun, yet elegant. Great food (his steak was perfect and my sea bass was excellent). The wine list was impressive, and the waiters were very helpful in pointing us to the perfect wine.

We dined at the Wine Cask last night and had a delicious meal. The ahi tuna and scallops were perfectly prepared. Try the doughnuts for dessert. Really good. The service was excellent and the wine steward very helpful.
