Some of the best seafood we had on our vacation. Not a place for someone who wants real silverware and atmosphere, but great shrimp and fish samwiches and smoked mullet spread. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Worth the stop.

This place has delicious seafood. It's definitely a local spot. It's not anywhere near the tourist places. My wife and I had a Saturday lunch here. She had fried shrimp and I had the fish/shrimp tacos and a cup of gumbo. My wife loved her shrimp. When you order the tacos, you get two flour tortilla tacos (soft tacos). You...

Thanks to all of the great reviews, we opted for Stewby's when we wanted seafood during our stay on Okaloosa Island. The first time there, my husband got the fried shrimp, grits and lettuce wedge. I got the grilled mahi, grits and baked beans. Our grits needed more flavor for us, the salad was fresh, but as for sides, the...

Arrived shortly before closing with hungry kids after traveling. Boy were we impressed! The few flash fried items we had were not oily (they obviously change the oil frequenltly as they should) and the grilled shrimp were plump, moist and crisp. Decent portions in comparison to price, but we left satisfied. Definitely a repeat customer. Thumbs up!
My husband and I searched out Stewby's while on vacation at Okaloosa Island based on the reviews. So happy we did! We ordered the grilled fish and grilled Shrimp tacos. Both were fresh and very tasty. The fries were also very good. Seating area was cute and they were able to keep it very cool though outside seating. It was...

Stewby's is a bit off the main drag, but it is so worth the trip to the north part of Ft. Walton! You order at the window and sit at picnic tables on a screened-in porch--fun and casual. But it's the fresh seafood that will bring you back. I have a hunch that this is where the locals eat--instead of...

My wife and I have been coming to Ft. Walton for many years, and thought we knew all of the best places to eat. We prefer to go where the locals eat, not the big tourist traps that have overrated, overpriced food and loooooong waits.
We tried Stewby's for the first time in January 2013, and ended up going back...

We drove for about 2 hours to eat here. The meal was worth a four hour drive, the staff was friendly, the food was fabulous, and the atmosphere was quaint. It isn't fancy but when the food is good it matters not what the place looks like.
The seafood is the freshest you'll find without driving to Destin, and the staff is friendly and fast and always willing to answer questions and educate you about what you're eating and what waters it came from; I frequent Stewby's about once/week and never get tired of it.
I've eaten here a handful of times and the food is decent but not amazing. I grew up on Southern fried seafood and although they do a pretty good job at it, I've had better. It's good for a quick lunch, but I don't find myself going out of the way for it and I'm a seafood lover.
The service...
