My wife and I finally visited Parsons yesterday. We had reviewed their menus online. The restaurant does not look as "run down" as some reviewers have stated. Parking seems very adequate. Inside the restaraunt the place has little ambience, but the both waitresses were friendly and responsive. The bar which I guess is a recent addition isn't much but it... More

Didn't care for the food, lacked flavor. Waitress was ok. Went there to celebrate a friends birthday and the whole group left unimpressed.

good/nice service but average food. lots of quantity but not great quality. got fried shrimp & scallops. fried shrimp was ok & plentiful but not great. scallops tasted a little odd. large menu, maybe other items are better. will be trying other places before returning.

Now I know a lot of people don't do fried anymore, but sometimes I want some that's deep fried goodness. It's even harder to find restaurants that do it well anymore This place was a mixed bag. The place was kind of a dump and needs TLC badly. It was clean though and after a bit of a wait I... More

Wasn't very sure when we pulled in. But oh wow was it good. Food was hot, fresh and delicious! Service was nice and friendly. This will be one of our MUST GO spots when we come back to Jacksonville Beach.

My wife and I went to eat at Taco Lu's but there are no tacos on earth worth waiting one hour to be seated so we went to Parson's. I have been here once before and even though 12 years have passed since my last visit, this restaurant continues to put out average food not worth making a special trip... More

Parsons has been a local favorite for years. Where else can you get a 20 fried shromp dinner for $10.99? It is just a couple of blocks away from the beach tucked into one of the oldest neighborhoods in a fun, ecclectic looking old style home. The people who work there are terrific and you feel like you've come to... More

Recently while in Jacksonville Beach we found Parson's Seafood. It is not on the beach but close enough. The menu offered a wide variety of choices and I think they would have fixed any special orders if asked. The service was top notch and the food fresh and yummy. I had the Dreamboat (sauted shrimp, mushrooms and crab). Each of... More

This place is quaint and has the feeling of dinner at an old friends house. The location isn't exactly prime real estate, but if it were the prices would be higher and the portions smaller. On Sundays they offer a fish sandwich with two sides and two hush puppies and it was pretty good. I certainly couldn't finish it all... More

Parsons is a nice find tucked in a few blocks away from the main beaches. We thought it was an open, eclectic diner environment, from the 'old house' feel to the retro car panel paintings used throughout for clean but colorful decoration. There were also clearly a lot of local regulars, which is always a good sign to us. Our... More
