The food and the service keep getting worse every year we go, but it is pretty and convenient and it's where everyone meets because of the great location
The weath was beautiful so we selected an outside table on the back balcony. Lovely! Started with the mojito martini yummy! A 2 for 1 lunch special. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes as we sipped the afternoon away. My better half enjoyed the Jambalaya and we split the mahi magi sandwich with a Caesar salad. Too much dressing and... More
The food is always consistent and good. The service, unfortunately, is always poor. They're always out of the specials or they're so slow, you can never order an appetizer. But they're always nice and they try.
At least on the night we went, this large boisterous restaurant appeared to capture the "we're in the middle of a party" atmosphere. The bar was definitely hopping, and there were tables full of a mixture of local college, the after-work business types and tourists that had wandered in. The menu is seafood-centered, but there are other options. The sides... More
If you find yourself in downtown Tallahassee, you should stop by this restaurant. Part of a small chain found in several towns around Florida. Seafood with a New Orleans twist. Don't worry if you can't handle the heat, there are non-spicy dishes as well. But if you like a little heat, you are in for a treat. Top that off... More
I took my wife here for her birthday, they don't take reservation. But the wait wasn't that long for us. The complimentary bread with herb butter spead was delicious. Crab cakes for a appetizer was a great choice. I order a cajun steak for my main course I was not pleased with the steak it was not seansoned, so I... More
We visited the state capital and someone who worked there recommended the place. We were a party of 7. The service was good and the food was awsome. Even the kids meal was good and a big portion. We arrived on time during happy hour they had 2 for 1 specials. My husband was happy. The seafood gumbo was great... More
We decided to try this place given the proximity to our hotel & recommendation of a friend. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. We started at the bar and they had a good selection of beers on tap. Service at the bar was fast. We shared two appetizers - calamari & voodoo shrimp (both were good). I tried a... More
The food is usually good but not this time. My rice was not done. I had the red beans and rice for a side dish. I will not order this again. My eggplant and crab appetizer was good. Looks like the portion was smaller this time. The trout I ordered was just OK. I'll try something else the next time.
This is must try apparently. Was ok I thought but nothing special But I've nothing to compare to in Tallahassee so don't know Had red blackened fish and what can only be called a spoon of savoury rice, hubby had New Orleans rib eye steak, which he said was very nice - crab wraps to start were fab though. Good... More
