I am a die hard fan of the Hillstone Group. They never seem to disappoint. This experience met all my expectations. The atmosphere was great! The food was delicious. You can easily go to a steakhouse and spend $300 for a party of 2 but I guarantee you that you will have the same experience at Bandera's and you will... More

Ate here Sunday, May 19 Arrived late after a convention and had a few beers in the bar while waiting for a table. As previous reviewers have mentioned, similar in atmosphere & style to the Houston's chain(TX & CA) Menu decent and not cheap but good quality. Service excellent & friendly. Told the wait would be 40 min so we... More

You could easy walk right past, which we did. You have to make the effort and try this place out. Limited menu but very good food. We had the chicken chili, roasted chicken and cheeseburger. Bring your appetite! All the portions were huge! The roasted chicken was a half a chicken! It layed in a bean gravy that gave it... More

When you travel with 2 other sisters, doing a lot of eating and shopping, what other delights do we find? Well I have never heard of this restaurant, but I do have to say, I enjoyed my sister's Lamb sandwich with a most delicious homemade roll. Although this was at dinner time, we all three indulged in their great tasting... More

A lovely meal of the macho salad, which I could not finish. The creative combination of flavors was a winner. The service was superb. The live jazz created a nice ambiance, and this would be a great spot for a romantic dinner. The moderately priced menu (for this area) was what caught my attention initially, but the food itself is... More

Bandera is a great lunch spot on North Michigan Avenue. A step up from a coffee shop (and there aren't many of those left). Good service - they get the idea that refilling the water and iced tea is a good idea. But their burger is one of the best and a reason to come back. Well prepared, nice sized... More

I am from NJ and was visiting Chicago with friends. We were only in town for 2 days and went to Bandera for a late lunch. My friend who lives in Chicago mentioned it is "just like Houston's," which we have in NJ. I am obsessed with the Houston's veggie burger, and love the vibe there. Even though Bandera is... More

I was a little skeptical of any restaurant that's on the Magnificent Mile since most look like chains. I sat at the bar, which was pretty crowded. I ordered their rotisserie lamb sandwich, which was very, very good. The meat was prepared so that it doesn't have the normal gamey taste that lamb is known for. The cole slaw, which... More
