Description: One of Chicago’s finest dining experiences awaits you in this elegant town home setting that balances formality and friendliness. Your dinner may be paired with fine wines, as uncommon ingredients come together in perfect harmony. In operation since 1978, Les Nomades remains true to its distinctive character as an oasis of civilized tranquility amidst the bustling activity of its Streeterville location. Culinary creations delight the most discriminating palates. Savor Sautéed Foie Gras, or Lobster Ravioli with seared scallops; Roasted Breast and Confit Leg of Duck, or Duo of Roasted Partridge and Bison. Artisan cheeses are extraordinary and the pastries are sublime. Please keep in mind that proper attire is required including a jacket for gentlemen.

I have a client that enjoys great French as I do so during a visit to Chicago I asked the hotel for recommendations and this was it hands down. And I was not disappointed. Even entering from the street it was the appearance of being in France, the dining area is decorated in typical French, crisp white table cloths and... More

This is perhaps the most genteel restaurant in which I have ever dined (you dine here, you don't eat). Les Nomades occupies several floors in a townhouse, and the atmosphere is hushed. Tables are well-spaced and comfortable, and the service is outstanding. There is a huge and very interesting wine list (and also a couple of the best beers that... More

This was our first visit. We were seated in the Salon du The upstairs. Our first table unfortunately had one of us looking directly into the men's room, but we were quickly and smoothly reseated, and that was the only glitch of the evening. The Salon features a lovely wood-burning fireplace, and the entire room exudes charm and warmth. The... More

Elegant small restaurant in an old house off Michigan ave. Excellent classic cuisine, expensive to very expensive but in the opinion of our party of 4 worth the price. terrific wine list. Several specials the night we were there. Oysters, fresh seafood soup, beet salad. I loved my duck consommé, and had a duo of sweetbreads and tenderloin that was... More

Three of us dined at Les Nomades in late December two years ago. It was a fantastic but high end) meal. The atmosphere is luxurious, but not overbearing. The service was superb. We of course had the table for the night, and had one of those meals that you remember forever. The food was superb - two of us had... More

Fine French cuisine at its best! This is not your 'cafe style'/bistro dinner. Small portions with beautiful platings. Excellent service. Intimate setting. Had a couple surprise 'amuse bouche' from the chef that were devine. Reasonably priced five-star dining. Can't wait to go to back!

This is easily one of the finest dining experiences in Chicago if you like old style elegance. The Fixed Price Menu had wonderful options and every course was beautifully prepared. Service was optimum and the evening was a total delight. We will return!

Classic French, wonderful service, tables much too close together, most food very good to excellent with a few exceptions (bison very over-grilled, charcoal taste overwhelming) Highlights shrimp and lobster salad, Dover sole. We've had better food in this price range in Chicago.

Great tasting menu & soufles of all kinds to die for! The place was very intimate in an old brownstone east of Michigan Avenue, the food was excellent, and the service was superb. I asked the waiter for his recommendation on several courses, and he hit a home run with them all. While certainly pricy, its the perfect place to... More

The first time was way better than the second. The intimacy of the dining area was enjoyable both times but the food was much better the first time. Both times the menu was priced fixed at around $100 pp. The table location seems to have a lot to do with your experience. The corner tables are much superior to side... More
