Had appetizers and cocktails on a recent stay at the Embassy. Food was very good and the bar was a relaxing place to spend a few hours unwinding after a long day of travelling.
Not too bad, but very pricey for very average food. It's okay, that's about it. Tries to be a fancy place but doesn't quite make it anywhere but the price really.
Two of us decided that this would be a quick, easy dinner location since we were staying in the Embassy Suites, I had the Sea Bass which was very good and arrived quickly. After that, the service went steadily downhill. We had to ask repeatedly for water refills and for coffee. It took over 20 minutes for our dessert to... More
I was at the hotel for business 2 days in a row and had the turkey burger both days it was GREAT I did however add grilled onions and asked that the "chopped strawberry's" not be added to my burger.
the service was a bit slow, however the food was great. several of us met there for lunch before departing. the restaurant was not crowded. the staff were friendly.
On a quick business trip to the Embassy Suites Hotel by O'Hare I ate here twice, mostly since it was in the hotel and I could room charge the bill to make it easy to expense the tab. Lunch was a Chinese Chicken Salad, average but about 30% too expensive for what it was. Dinner the next night was a... More
Dined here on a recent business trip. First, the price range listed is incorrect. The most expensive entree I recall was in the low-mid $20's. Without alcohol you can walk out of here for under $40 easy. Again, to echo many other seasoned travelers, Basil's is an average-slight above average hotel restaurant. This is a good thing. The food is... More
This is a great place to work and unwind. Recently re-modeled, it has a really nice sound system, plays varietal classic rock until evening. It has good food, excellent service and is priced right. They make every effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I always head right in there when at the hotel.
I ate here twice during 2 seperate visits. Its a bit of a shame the service is so poor because the food is quite good. The staff is not friendly and the food service is slow. Other guests were also overheard speaking of the slow nature of the service. I dont eat here because of the slow unfriendly service.
The food quality is great. It is a bit high priced, but you get what you pay for! I have been there a few times on business since I stay at the Embassy. I would recommend if your are looking for quality over quantity.
