St. Elmo's is the old man of Indy. Not only locals but celebrities are always coming there when they are in town. The shrimp cocktail is everyone's favorite. The Steaks are wonderful and the wait staff give you their friendly attention.

Always good. Along with the Capital Grille it's pretty much the only good steak house in Indy. Make sure to try the shrimp cocktail with the hottest cocktail sauce anywhere - it'll make your eyes water.
that's what you think when you taste the cocktail sauce with the shrimp cocktail, it's amazing. the filet is excellent too.

Legendary steak house from the 1920's look's like big Al would have eaten here if it were in Chicago.
Great value. Extremely addictive and unique shrimp cocktail . Everything here is delicious and plentiful. The shrimp cocktail is legendary.

This restaurant in downtown Indianapolis has been in business since the early part of the 20th century. It is a true landmark with outstanding food and service in a lovely historic building. Definitely a place to enjoy dinner--not to be missed.
We were lucky enough to have reservations during the NCAA Regionals in March. The place was packed and there was a line out the door when we arrived, so I do highly recommend them. There were five of us in our party and we all enjoyed our meals immensely. All entrees come with a choice of soup or tomato juice...
