I know I shouldn't expect outstanding seafood in north Louisiana but this place is the pits. The food is greasy and the prices are worse than the food. It takes a lot for me to give anyone a bad review do you know how I really feel. The only thing that is acceptable is the wait staff.
Stopped in last nite with the wife and kids for a quick friday nite supper thinking we would sit outside at the docks and catch sunset while we ate. Too windy, so opted for a table by the big picture window in the cove. The cove serves the docks menu which has a variety of appitisers, poboys, and seafood and...

Having lived our whole lives only 40 miles from the Gulf, we are very critical of what others call "fresh" seafood. Mariners manages to keep things consistently good. We eat here every time we visit the area and now I go strictly for catch-of-the-day specials. Never disappointed in some of the really unique dishes they come up with. My wife...

We stopped in for dinner on our stop over at Natchitoches, and it was a delight. The atmosphere of the beautiful lake in the background made up for the semi-fancy, but just "alright" food. I wanted to have my jalapeños removed from the dish, but apparently a lot of things are "premade" which makes it not so great with a...

We have eaten here for years and the food is very consistent. Try the fantastic oysters rockefeller.
We enjoyeda meal that include appitizers, main course, and dessert. My husband has steak and I had the fish with a shrimp & crab topping.
Nice location at the lake. Sit outdoors if it is not windy. Service is OK. Atmosphere is OK, sort of aims to be the "upscale" joint in town. Same menu as everywhere else, though. Mostly fried, heavily battered. Very few things that are not fried, heavily battered. Couple of the fish dishes are OK, the etouffee is nice, same as...

I want to start by saying that the photos on tripadvisor do not do this place justice. This restaurant has one of the nicest layouts that I have ever seen in a restaurant and the ambiance to go with it. We really enjoyed the staff and the food. Their shrimp and artichoke bisque was a highlight of the dinner and...

This was our second trip to Mariners for dinner. I think the memory of a newly discovered place is always the best, but even though our second visit was on a busy holiday night, the service was good, and the food overall was exactually as ordered. But... this time I sampled the broiled oysters....oysters rockefeller and oysters bienville. Very poor....
