Had the great fortune to attend High Tea at Fromviandoux with a group of friends. It was outstanding: the serene atmosphere; the many choices of tea, constantly refreshed; the wonderful scones with homemade marmalade, clotted cream, and lemon curd; the tiny cucumber, egg and lobster savories; the delightful sweets all coupled with unobtrusive, efficient service. Not to be missed.

After a somewhat unfriendly welcome we got seated. It took a while before a server checked in with us. Not sure why because the restaurant was not busy at all. Dinner was ok and reasonable priced. Wine was outrages expensive, we paid $16 for a glass of wine and it was not even a great wine. Would probably not go... More

You would be doing yourself a huge disservice to be in Camden and not eat at this incredible restaurant. I was here 4 months ago for the best tea service ever. So today I had tea and dinner here! Yes, it is that good. Please see my earlier review for a description of the tea. The ambiance of Fromviandoux is... More

Recommended, but disappointing. Welcome was really unfriendly. We didn't make reservations and although the restaurant was completely empty, the hostess was acting like they were sold out. It was 7pm and there were only 3 tables, that pretty much didn't change the rest of the evening. The server was clearly not interested and was hardly able to answer any specific... More

On a recent visit to this restaurant (I had been several months before) I had a visitor from Europe as a guest I had taken. We asked the server if the fish that was the special could be prepared with the sauce "on the side" as my visitor eats very simply. She said it would probably not be a problem... More

My family recently had a lovely spring brunch at Fromviandoux in Camden and came away favorably impressed with the quality of food, the variety of choices the presentation and the service. We had complimentary quails eggs as an appetizer and following the meal complimentary chocolate truffles that went above and beyond our expectations. We enjoyed then quiche with mushrooms, herbs... My husband and I went for dinner based on our inn keepers recommendation. We went on a Saturday night at 6 pm. We were the only people in the place until around 7ish. We started with a cheese plate that was excellent! Great variety and the chef pair the accompaniments. It was delicious. We were asked several times by our... More

Upscale, great food on a side street in Camden. I think it means "from veal to duck" but don't let that stop you. Sit at the bar with 2 or a table with 4 and enjoy excellent food and fair to pricey prices with great atmosphere. I did get the duck and it was great.

This is my home town turf and, to tell the truth, I've spent more... and enjoyed it less in many of the restaurants in the area (except for the wonderful as always Primo in Rockland!) so what a delight it was to be within two miles of home at this very lovely restaurant. The decor is understated but elegant with... More

Just had my first meal here with a few friends. Beautiful small plates, each bite more exquisite than the next. Everything we had was excellent, though I was especially partial to the blood orange vinaigrette in the salad, the roasted escargot, and the salted caramel ice cream. Service was just right -- understated but so professional. I live an hour... More
