I have been to Miyake so many times I couldn't even guess how many times. I keep going back because it really is great. We typically do the 7 course Omakase with one of the wine and sake pairings. This visit we did the usual. The menu consisted of several seafood selections both cooked and raw and a meat and... More

I had been to his smaller restaurant before he opened this new restaurant and that had amazingly fresh and tasty sushi. At this restaurant I ordered the 7 course tasting menu ($75.00) and was absolutely floored. Each course was amazing and aside from the sushi being as tasty and ethereal as can be I have never had a better seared... More

Miyake has the best sushi I have ever had in my life! I tried the 7 course sampler the first time I went here, it was quite the experience! I would recommend the Sushi 3-way and the duck. I have been here several times and every experience I have had the service is great and the food is phenomenal!

If you know sushi then this is not the place for you. Very small and overly expensive portions. Nice presentation, quality not as advertised. Small 1970s decor is about right. Cramped. The only positive was the service but could not make up for all the above. Because it is a major seaport I would have thought that this highly praised... More

Really great sushi. Very interesting menu. Best in Portland and worth the money. Knowledgeable staff. But the 1970's-chic decor is not for me. But I will put up with eat to eat his fish.

The first time we ate at Miyake was a few years ago & my husband was saying it was the next big thing for foodies. Without a doubt, Portland's Miyake has turned the beloved ramen into an elevated form of delicious noodle soup. I cannot seem to get anything like it anywhere else. As an Asian-American & hailing from Houston... More

Best Sushi maybe in the US. Rather, best sushi I have had in the US, so far! What a treat to move back to Maine have have this amazing restaurant in our back yard. The new location is great; bigger and slicker. If you visited the tiny corner place before, it is very different now. 4/5 dots for atmosphere just... More

An amazing place with incredible food, for those of you who love sushi. You can't beat the quality and selection. I brought a friend from Singapore and they agreed; this is the real deal.

We had lunch a year ago at Miyake's sister restaurant, Pai Men and really enjoyed it, so we were already familiar with the Miyake brand. But on the recommendation of the hotel owner of Camden Harbour Inn that has a fantastic French restaurant, Natalie's, we decided to try Miyake's and do the 5-course Omakase (chef choice) lunch. Excellent! Not only... More
