We managed to hit Cobies just hours before they closed for the season - GREAT fried clams! Must get back earlier next year to try one of the 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream!
We ordered lobster roles. They consisted of a cold bun, lettuce and lobster. Nothing else was provided. Compared with the competition the portion was small and price high. The lobster had no dressing, the bun was not buttered. This was a Very amateurish attempt for a lobster role. We will never go back. There many better options that this.
This is a HUGE tourist trap, but since it's the off-season, we decided to take our kids for a "treat" by going to the "famous clam shack down the road." The young lady behind the window was less than personable to say the least - in fact she seemed rather annoyed that we were bothering her during the quiet season.... More
Very casual road stand. I had Cape Cod Reuben - cod and slaw ! But tasted great., Friendly, efficient service, prices very reasonable. Just a good place to go!
Great tasting scallop dinner, seafood platter and clam chowder. My wife and I shared the scallop dinner and had a "Cape Cod Reuben" (fish instead of pastrami). The Cape Cod Reuben was OK but... More
Great little place - easy to find, great bunch of kids working behind the counters and the food is top notch - I could easily eat my own weight in their butter crunch ice cream :) Cash only, so plan ahead!
We happened to stop here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was only 8 pm and we were the last people served. The food was tasty and fresh. The best part was that they offered us free clam chowder soup because it was the end of the night! It was delicious.
I have been to Cobies several times and I love the fried scallops and fries. Not too much breading and a good size portion. Ice cream has large portions as well. Out door seating with and without umbrellas. I will be back again next summer.
Four of us ordered lobster rolls. They were pricey at $14.95. Quality and quantity were very good. We did forget to put toppiings on them. So they were quite bland. The lobster rolls at the local supermarket were as good and a lot less expensive.
