We were expecting better since we are from Maine, where there are a lot of seafood restaurants. Little expensive, interesting building but a lot of noise from the kitchen. Service was just ok, server got our order wrong.

I was here on a Thursday night for a dinner the night before my nephew's wedding. We had a variety of appetizers that were all excellent. For dinner the choices my sister pre-arranged were: a choice of lobster, prime rib or a chicken dish. all of the entrees were plentiful and delicious. The salads were customized with a choice of...

Ate at Quarterdeck our last night in Falmouth. Usually crowded yet due to Cinco d Mayo able to get in with no wait. The mashed potatoes w skins and green beans served with crab cakes were good not special. Will definitely try again for lunch as we have heard great things about lunch menu.
Quarterdeck is an old standby in Falmouth. Had dinner with new neighbors on a Friday in late April. Service was warm and efficient. The atmosphere was especially lively with an excellent Irish band. Seafood including scrod and salmon were very good as usual. Will be back in the next month or two.
If you want to avoid the national chains and have a family friendly selection of choices with a Cape flair, I'd recommend the Quarterdeck for familiy lunch or dinner. Our girls had the kid's lazy man lobster and we had the chowder, salad and fish sandwich. The kid's choice lazy man's lobster was pretty generous and well priced. A bit...

Wanted seafood for our first night out on our vacation. Hotel suggested this place. Got my 7y/o to read the history of this restaurant. Four different owners since its existence and still growing strong. The kids enjoyed the stain glass from a church in Maine. That's what my seven year old read. The restaurant has a good setup. The front...

While not a gourmet restaurant- and with no pretensions of trying to be one- this is a very solid "American food" eatery that is consistently well prepared food served by a friendly staff in a "cozy" type environment. As others have noted, it is a local/family atmosphere and can be crowded at night (even off season) so either arrive early...

Go during the off season. I was there in March and it was still crowded but getting a table was not impossible. The seafood chowder is delicious.. The lobster salad is out of this world. The seafoods choices are many and ALL of the plates that went by looked beautiful.
It is traditional New England atmosphere with down to earth...

(4 circles is comparing it to other family type places in towns like Falmouth)
Went there at the end of my Christmas stay with family. The two of us grabbed seats at the bar. My better half had eaten there a dozen times. The inside looks like an old waterside building or ship....depending on your point of view. And it...
