My friend and I stopped in at the Optimist Cafe yesterday and had a delicious lunch. We were also invited to walk around the building to view the amazing artwork hanging on and directly painted on the walls.

We enjoyed the food and found the service very good. Would definitely return if I was in the area. Excellent selection of teas, and a varied menu.
Service was a little slow for such a quiet day, but the art work hanging all around kept us occupied. They had gluten-free options, and the food was plentiful and good. I'd eat here again.
We wandered in to the Optimist Cafe for lunch with friends, and from from start to finish, it was truly a memorable experience. The new owners are doing a fantastic job taking this long-time restaurant to the next level. We were greeted warmly by our server, and started with a delectable sampler of freshly baked scones with clotted cream and...

Not impressed with the menu choices. It was my second visit there. My first visit was great. This one, not so much. After figuring out that there was little I could eat, I just asked for a bowl of chowder (it was great during my first visit). My waitress asked "Did I tell you we had chowder?" in quite the...

A great little place for solid good food. Nothing special but very dependable. Good size portions, well prepared and presented. The decor ia quite interesting - sort of old timey but not cutesy. The service is great and parking is easy and plentiful which is especially good in the summer. Easy to find - the building looks like ginger bread!

This place offered delicious teas, other drinks, as well as biscuits with strawberry jam and cookies. Everyone there was so helpful!
We were driving along route 6a from Eastham to Hyannis, getting hungry (we had trouble finding restaurants for breakfast along Rte 6A, probably because we did not know where to look) drove by the Inn before we realized it was a restaurant and was ope. Turned around and glad that we did. Our waiter was excellent, we both had omelets...

This restaurant is another converted Victorian, fun to look at, with work of local artists on the wall. Breakfast is all I've eaten here, but they also serve lunch and "high tea," and you can sit outside and watch the traffic on 6A.
