This restaurant is gorgeous, inside and out. You get the excitement of being downtown, with the convenience of not actually being in the heart of downtown Minneapolis! The food and service are absolutely top notch, and while it appears super-fancy you can still fit in while wearing slightly more casual clothing. Servers provide helpful recommendations on food and wine, and... More

One of our favorites in Minneapolis. The food and ambience is great! It would a great place for a romantic date. The service is always fantastic. The apple, cheese, and chive salad (yes I know) - trust me - it is fantastic! The chilean sea bass marinated in miso is to die for! Really fantastic place for a romantic evening,... More

Cafe Lurcat was one of the most interesting, unique, and beautiful restaurants I've ever seen. It is in an old refurbished area of an urban area in Minneapolis. The food was outstanding and we were seated where you could watch the chefs at work. They never look up they are intense perfecting each and every plate that leaves their watch.... More

I went with my son for Sunday evening "date night". For $50 you split a bottle of wine, and each get an appetizer, entree and dessert. Fabulous menu, food and service. Amazing! I highly recommend this place.

We dined here for the first time tonight. All our friends rave about it but for some reason we never made it until now. We had a few drinks at the bar which was great happy hour pricing (even on Sat!) and attentive service. The lavender martini looked very good and the wife said it was excellent. I had a... More

To start, this restaurant should definitely be ranked higher than #10 in the Minneapolis area. When to dine: We visited on a Sunday night which I fully recommend. Sunday night is "date night" which includes a bottle of wine, 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes, and 2 desserts for $50/couple. Food reviews: Appetizers: Roasted wild mushrooms on brioche with camembert goat... More

My wife and I visited Cafe Lurcat for the first time & loved it. The atmosphere is great, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding. We started the meal with the apple, cheese, and chive salad, which far exceeded my expectations. I had the hangar steak and my wife had the pork roast; both were delicious. We don't... More

My experience at Cafe Lurcat was cheesy. Seriously, the place smelled like intense, cooking cheese. The intoxicating aroma was pleasant to begin with, but by the end of dinner what once was inviting turned nauseating. As you can picture with a place that smells like being stuffed into the pot of a fontina cheese fondue, a lot of the dishes... More

I went to Cafe Lurcat for Restaurant Week and was blown away by how great it was! The Apple, Chive, and Cheese salad is to die for and completely unique in how it is made and displayed. The atmosphere is very sophisticated but cozy which makes it perfect for a romantic date or a place to take your parents. Not... More

Cool atmosphere - location has lots of history. Great place to bring out of town guests or clients who want to see an authentic MPLS hang out - with cool urban vibe, great bar and solid menu. Food has always been good - and they are great about accommodating gluten free, or other diet restrictions. Really great bar/lounge and super... More
