Parking a bit to deal with, but the pizza is well worth it. Very casual fun environment. Sauce is not over whelming. Crust was crispy. Spices great.
We took our family the night before a football game. The place was packed, which is a good thing. We sat outside under a tent, which was nice. As we waited in line to order, my son watched them make the pizzas, and they even threw some dough at him to play/eat with. The pizza and salad are great! We... More
Love this place the pizza is great I like a wheat crust and pepper jack cheese mixed with regular cheese. Their garlic bread is thick and hot and yummy!
My wife and I were traveling to Cincinnati from Kansas City and were going through Columbia on I-70 when we decided to stop for lunch. We detoured from I-70 to dine at Shakespeare's based on other TripAdvisor reviews because we wanted something out of the ordinary beyond all the chains that are just off the highway. It probably took 10... More
Always enjoy stopping in at Shakespeares Pizza when traveling through MO to visit the fam! Food and service, as well as atmosphere is awesome!!
OK - finally made it here and it was worth it. Not sure why the pizza is so addictive but with thin crust and great ingredients made for a perfect pizza place. Add to it the college atmosphere, beer in pitchers, and friendly staff and you have for a great meal.
This is a classic! If you come to Columbia this a must stop! It can get a lil crowded sometimes and the wait can get pretty long, but it's still worth it! You never really know if it will be crowded or not. For example, I've eaten there at lunch on a weekday and had to wait for over an... More
Went to Shakespeare's at the recommendation of several people. Parking is VERY limited at the 9th Street location. Can't say the service is great because you have to serve yourself. Order at the cash register from the limited menu (rightly so, since they specialize in pizza), fix your own drinks, and then they page you to come get your order... More
The pizza isn't always cooked to perfection (sometimes it is burnt) but when it is it is pizza perfection. We love Shakes and have enjoyed this local pizza joint for a decade and a half. They are quirky and fun and delicious. I would definitely recommend!
Seems everyone likes Shakespeare's. Pizza is good and prices the same. Have had several types of pizza there and all are very good. Definitely need to visit when in Columbia. Two locations and both are great.
