We love Indian food. This is a local place that we have been going to for years. The food is always fresh and spiced perfectly. Service is always top notch too.
Perfectly decent little Indian restaurant. But the Chicken Madras was kind of mediocre. The sauce was creamy and had some flavor but the chicken itself was like perfect cubes of chicken mean that tasted like some sort of horribly over-processed Hormel chicken (yech). It tasted like Chicken Food Cubes, not chunks of real chicken breast. I didn't taste enough dishes... More
Great food! Location, service, staff, are all great. This has been our favorite Indian restaurant for a long time now and recommend it to all my friends
When my daughter and I have a hankering for Indian food we head straight to House of India. Such was the case today for lunch. We love love love the lunch buffet. In fact we have been here several times but only ever for lunch, that's how much we like the offerings. My daughter is a vegetarian and there are... More
House of India in St. Louis gives you the impression you are in India. Great wait staff, full variety of meals and the taste is just like your in India!!! Nice decore and very clean. Nice place for dinner.
Really not much to say. If you're in the mood for Indian food this is the place to go. Mango Lasse, Garlic Nan or Onion Kulcha, and Chicken Korma. I just can't seem to not order this every time I go.
It's an average-style suburban place; we ordered take-out from their on- line extensive menu. The tenderest lamb you can imagine, lovely with a little rice and raita; chicken chunks in a creamy saffron sauce; a quite spicy eggplant side. Nan, naturally. A filling "different" meal that a family can enjoy at je at a reasonable cost.
I don't like what they have on the buffet bar so I thought hey I will just order of the menu and let my wife eat on the buffet bar. First restraunt I heard of that won't let you order of there menu when they are open. St.louis still does not have a good Indian restraunt!!! Also bring bottled water... More
We found this restaurant by using the Yelp app on my phone. What a great choice. The service courteous and very quick. The food was scrumptious. We had three dishes, chicken Saag, lamb curry and the vegetarian medly. All were cooked to perfection with the right amount of spice. The lassie, both sweet and salt, were also delicious. Highly recommended.
Went for a Sunday night dinner with the family, and had a truly outstanding Indian meal. I like it hot, and the Lamb vindaloo was all I could ask for. My wife likes it mild, and the tandoori chicken certainly filled the bill. In between, the kids (adults - but still my kids) had the lamb krala - and the... More
