The meal was the worst we had had in a long time. Service could have been better since it did not appear they were overly busy.

Let me preface this by saying that my husband and I have been frequent summer visitors to Ports for many years. We recently went back for our anniversary and could not believe how terrible the food and service were. This was a Friday at 6:30 PM and the place was about 3/4 full. We were seated quickly but after that,...

This was the surprise of our trip. Every bite, of everything we tried, was ABSOLUTELY superb. We dine out a good bit, and this was one of our top three meals of the last few years. The daily specials are truly amazing. Artfully prepared, and with everything both interesting and in perfect balance. The dining room is lively and a...

Cozy interior and very decent food. The exterior is rather blah and tho the restaurant is nearly on the lake, the view is non-existent. If you're in Geneva for 1 night, I would skip this restaurant, but if you're in town for a few nights, then I would recommend sampling this restaurant's fare.
We tried the chicken pad Thai off the main menu, but they have an enormous list of daily specials that all sounded great. Everyone had a great meal and the staff was great and very attentive. Luckily we went on a Tuesday night and didn't have to wait.
A year ago, I would have gladly given this restaurant an enthusiastic 5-star rating, Today, however, was the last straw and I believe a 2-star up is more appropriate. Please don't misunderstand, the food is good, but for the price point (they recently just raised their prices) and the inconsistency/"surprises" (more on that later..) you're better off going somewhere else....

My wife and I made a day trip on Saturday to the Finger Lakes and ended up with dinner at Ports Café. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but what is inside is phenomenal.
Luckily we got the last table available without a reservation. Make one before you go as we watched several twosomes sent away.
There was...

The food was delicious, well presented, perfectly cooked, balanced, nuanced flavors, delightful. I had one of their many selections of fresh fish. I am very picky about my fish and am often disappointed if it's not fresh. This fish was the best I have ever had in a restaurant. If we hadn't come on the last night of our vacation,...

Second time here and worth coming back. Very local establishment. Reservations are recommended and are accepted after 3:00 pm. They are only able to take reservations two weeks in advance.
Started off with a Warm Beet/Citrus Salad. It was perfect with just the right amount seasoning and dressing. Which not to masked the beets, citrus or over soaked the macro...

Got back to Ports on a recent trip to Geneva, NY. Still a great place. Reservations on a Friday or Saturday highly recommended. Ports does it right in all areas. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food great. Had a Ribeye and Duck Confit. Both excellent. Wine selection from the local wineries is very good. Prices are fair. The...
