The Bangkok Thai Bistro 's food is much better than its companion restaurant in Colonie. When I mentioned that to our waitress she said that she gets told that all the time. The atmosphere is mixture of old, funky and modern. When we entered the restaurant the bar area had a vaguely lingering scent of cigar and cigarette despite being... More

The service is always friendly and the food is good. I enjoyed the drunken noodles and duck. The space is dark and dated. I would recommend it,

I recently went there for lunch with some co-workers. We were the first people in the door and seated when the restaurant opened at 11:30. We ordered our meal at 12:00 and at 12:35 still had not gotten our meal. When the meal arrived about 12:40 I had it put in a take out carton because I had to get... More

Have eaten here a number of times and have tried several of the dinners - all excellent and fresh. I have no idea how to determine how authentic the food is, but it seems comparable or better than Thai food I have had elsewhere.

Excellent array of choices; food beautifully prepared and presented. The wait staff is pleasant, available when you need them but they do not hover. We stayed longer than usual and were not pressed to leave. Decor is welcoming but not overdone. Try one of their signature mixed drinks. Great pre-theater dinner. (Proctor's Theater is just down the street.)

This is a great place to sit at the bar and try a few appetizers, sushi and have a drink. The bar is an old-fashioned long, polished wood and a bit dark (which I require in a good bar). The dining room is pleasant and nicely lit. The menu covers all kinds of Asian/Thai cusine and the martinis are cold... More

My friend had eaten at Bangkok recently and wanted to go back. She had the basil curry with tofu and I ordered the pad thai with tofu. Both were good sized servings and tastey. We ordered jasmine tea and when we requested more, the server brought us a small pot which was very nice. I have eaten here several times... More

Green curry was one of the best I've ever had. Spicy, but not too spicy. I try to find Thai food in every new city I go to and can't remember having anything better (curry) My wife had the Tom Yum Shrimp which was also very good. We did not have any sushi. Went on a Friday night at 6:30...good... More

Simply amazing. The Glass Noodles are heavenly. The Thai Chicken is mouthwatering. I over-stuffed myself here a few times. So worth every penny!
