This little shack serves up some of the best NC-style BBQ I've ever had. Chicken is okay, ribs are good, but the pulled pork with its vinegary barbecue sauce is the best! Don't forget the coleslaw on top of the pulled pork sandwich. Their cornbread and sides are amazing too! Definitely worth at least one visit during a weeklong stay...

One word describes everything here.....YUM. This is place is an annual stop for us during our week in Duck. The ribs and smoked chicken fall off the bone. The pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw is tasty and filling. The sides - Mac salad, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw are all homemade are delicious.....but the proverbialmicing on the cake is the...

Oh. My. Gosh. The pork BBQ was amazing. It wasn't too fatty, and it was super-tasty. The vinegar-based sauce (what North Carolina is known for), was simply delicious...just enough bite and spice, but not too much. We got baked beans to go along with our BBQ sandwiches, and they were also delicious! This place may not look like much, and...

Upon recommendation of our kayak tour guide at Coastal Explorations we got take out barbeque here and it was awesome! The ribs, pulled pork and chicken all were very good -- especially with the hot sauce. The sides were all very good too - tasty coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and the best corn bread I have ever had. (It...

They started using wood chips again so the pork has a nice pink smoke to it and it really shows. I do...

I am leery of reviewing this restaurant for fear of attracting more people to this hidden gem! It was the best find for a nice low key dinner at OBX. The people could not have been friendlier! The food was plentiful, well priced, and great tasting. The ambiance was quiet, cute, and Low key. Expect picnic tables, outside dinning, a...

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here! My family had the ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and pulled pork platter- with sides of coleslaw, mac salad, and potato salad. We suggest ordering the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on it- it is delicious! It is just a counter that you can order from, so we enjoyed our meal at the picnic tables...

Based on other trip advisors, just had dinner at this hole in the wall, off the beaten path.....and we were NOT disappointed. Large portions, high quality BBQ. Get the LARGE pulled pork sandwich with slaw. It was very good. Don't be intimidated by the shack appearance, the food is well worth the stop
