Description: Ruka's Table embodies the spirit of Highlands with a casual but elegant atmosphere, excellent food and service, and a commitment to quality that we believe is unequaled. We buy as much local produce as possible to sustain our farming communities. Ruka's menu is an array of specials, salads, soups, appetizers, entrees, and desserts that are 100% house made from the finest quality ingredients that we can purchase. Our steaks are local, dry aged, hormone free meats of the highest grade. Our menu has a variety of seafood and poultry dishes and includes daily specials and our take on southern specialties. Ruka's features a beautiful, copper topped, full service bar that offers full menu dining and a huge assortment of craft beer, specialty cocktails, and a fantastic wine list. The bar is flanked by a large stone fireplace, and is situated under a 30 foot, beamed, cathedral ceiling.

A friend and I recently had Dinner at Ruka's Table and it exceeded our expectations in all areas. Our server was very friendly, accommodating and was very helpful with the menu. Executive Chef Justin Burdett is a true genius with his farm to table menu, and his outstanding food preparation. He has a humble personality and a true passion for his... More

We just finished dining at rukas table! I was a little worried when we walked in the door with our 3 year old! It is a very nice restaurant with an older crowd ! When we placed our order the waitress was very sweet and told us that they did have a kid friendly menu and told us what was... More

I have rated this restaurant poor based on our experience. We made reservations for a during the weekend dining experience. When we arrived there was only one other couple in the restaurant. The restaurant is located in a strip shopping center mall on Main Street on the outskirts of "downtown" Highlands. The entry into the restaurant is very nicely done... More

Visited Ruka's Table during MLK weekend 2013. Most of the restaurants in Highlands are closed this time of year but we were very pleased with Ruka's Table. You can expect to pay $25 to $35 per plate. We ordered a cheese appetizer as well. All were very excellent. Portions are large.

Just average all the way around! The food was ordinary. The service was not great either. We won't be going back. We went with friends (6 of us total) and no one was impressed with their food. The choices sounded better on the menu than what appeared on the table. A total disappointment!

I have dined in Highlands many times, and more times than not I was served over priced disappointments, with pretentious service. Ruka's Table is a warm and welcoming environment, with an out standing menu. The wine selection has a wide range of varieties to satisfy any pallet, and the craft beer selection is the one of the best I have... More

Our intention was to dine at the overly popular Paoletti's on our last night in Highlands. But we found they were closed so we took the short stroll down to Ruka's We had never dined here before; the online menu had never overwhelmed us. Thank goodness Paoletti's was closed. We were treated to impeccable, unpretentious, friendly service and one of... More

I did not care for any of my dinner (turnip soup and grouper) but my husband liked his chicken dish. I thought it was overated/overpriced, although it does have a great atmosphere and the service was good. I don't mind paying if the meal is great, but this wasn't.

Actually this was my last dining choice after a two month stay in the Highlands/Cashiers area. Tried all the others and wasn't sure about this one given some reviews. I wish I would have come here earlier. Definitely would have been back a few times. I could go on and on but to put it simply, if your in this... More
