My wife ate here last weekend after driving to Highlands for the day. We liked the outdoor seating option as our dress was casual, both of us in shorts. We could have eaten inside, but it looked a little more formal than Tshirts and shorts. We had the smoked trout appetizer and I had the burger. My wife had a... More

The selection of entrées was wonderful. I had the Pheasant and my wife had the Halibut and both were absolutely wonderful.

The restaurant associated with Old Edwards Inn. Everything is done perfectly, from the silver table settings to the execution and presentation of the meals. Truly exceptional. I had brunch with friends and the coffee and tea service alone was worth the price of admission. Biscuits the size of your fist ("cat-head and hand spanked"), individual butters which were whipped and... More

We had several meals at Madison's during our stay at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. Be adventuresome and try something new - the chef has an amazing way of putting together flavors that please the palate every time. Must try: pimento cheese with homemade crackers, duke confit soup, any soufflé, eggs Benedict, and so much more. Menu is a perfect... More

We ate at Madison's for dinner 2 different evenings. We made ourselves get different courses each night and EVERYTHING was wonderful! It was so hard to decide as all sounded wonderful and was as good as it sounded. I am not sure that I can say I had a favorite as everything was so unique. The use of veg in... More

There is nothing more wonderful than enjoying lunch outside on a beautiful day in Highlands, N.C. but then when you add the atmosphere of the Old Edwards Madison's restaurant you have something very special. We had outstanding service & superb southern cuisine. I cannot wait for a return visit.

We loved the ambiance of the restaurant, very pretty, with large windows looking out onto the inn's wine garden. The service was excellent, and the food was very good. We like the restaurant's farm to table philosophy and thus locally grown ingredients.

We had a very enjoyable dinner with friends, The staff was accommodating and knew their wine and food. Service was flawless and meals prepared expertly. Presentation was a bit bland, but the tastes and pairings made up for this one downside. Room has a formal feel, but nothing stuffy here.

We dined here for our anniversary and it was fantastic! When we arrived, the staff already knew it was our anniversary & our table was decorated with fresh rose petals. Our meal was very memorable as well. My husband had the sunchoke soup to start & he could not say enough about it! He even used his roll to clean... More
