We returned to the Colington Cafe this year after a wonderful experience last May. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the service and especially the food. This place is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. There were five of us in our party and the waiter was excellent. We can't wait to return next May!

We were in the Outer Banks NC for a wedding, plus during that week it was my birthday, so my boyfriend made reservations to the Colington Cafe. This was our second time going to this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was so romantic, the decor very pleasing and the service staff could not have been friendlier or... More

A friendly family affair, the food is excellent and reasonably priced. The wine list covers all the bases and offers many excellent choices. You'll dine in a quaint converted house; the restaurant is small and intimate, and the deserts are out of this world. We have dined there for years and will continue to do so whenever we're in OBX.... More

A friend recommended Colington Cafe and I'm so glad he did! It was the best dining experience I've ever had on the Outer Banks. In fact, it ranks as one of the best experiences anywhere. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere was fun, but not loud and boisterous. The prices were reasonable and... More

Have rarely given a restaurant a 5 but in this case they truly earned it. This was a rare combination of real value and wonderful food. The wine list was so reasonable my husband asked if it was by the glass or bottle. Service was impeccable. We had dessert because of the previous courses and it did not disappoint.

My husband and I had a romantic dinner at the Colington Cafe last night and really enjoyed it. This was our second time there. We shared the crab dip and Cesar salad for appetizers and both were very good. My husband had the filet mignon and crab cake dinner. The filet was very tender and tasty. I had a seared... More

My husband and I were at the OBX after cancelling a trip for our 5-year anniversary last Oct/Nov due to Hurricane Sandy's arrival...so we decided to have the dinner we would have had then if we had been ....and we are so glad we followed the reviews and recommendations and selected Colington Cafe...despite being rear-ended by a local (possibly unlicensed!)... My husband and I went here for our 10th Anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the dinner was great. I was sad I hadn't left room for dessert because they had a large selection that looked delicious! The service was also great. I would suggest making reservations. I will go back again for sure!

Seven of my girlfriends and I recently enjoyed a week at the beach. The weather was cold, windy, and rainy, but one of the highlights of our stay was dinner at the Colington Cafe. The service was great despite the fact they were short-staffed. We all ordered different meals and each one got rave reviews. My fish of the day... More

The Colington Café offers great service, a menu that pleases everyone, at a price that can't be beat. The chicken breast and pork tenderloin come with a raspberry sauce that is delicious. The grilled shrimp is a large enough serving that you won't leave hungry. Try to leave room for dessert because they are baked on the premises and are... More
