We had lunch here while shopping downtown Southport. Not a big place but the young people who work there are all very nice and friendly and the dogs are sooo good.
Trolley Stop is a hot dog restaurants with several locations in New Hanover and Brunswick counties in North Carolina. They have come up with quite of selection of toppings that will satisfy any palate. The Southport location is a bit small and has little seating, so get there early if you want to sit and eat. The Trolley Stop in Southport is part of a hotdog serving chain. The inside of this place has limited seating and it can fill up quickly. On the outside door there is a listing of the style hotdogs offered. But once inside there is also a listing in case you forgot. The hotdog chili is very good. There is a... More

Hot dogs were not good. Found better on Oak Island. Tasted like boiled hot dogs. NOthing special. Would not go there again. More of a tourist trap...
Wife and I tried this place several months back and it wasn't a good experience. Delicious soft serve ice cream, with friendly service. I had the strawberry, but there were many good options. A nice stop on our stroll through downtown Southport. One of the few places still open after 6:00. This little town really closes down at 5:00, although strolling through the streets was still very enjoyable after hours.
I love taking in this place for a quick lunch, not only do they have tons of different ways to have your dog, but they are right by the water in the downtown area.
Everything was cold....server behind counter was NOT having a good day. Condiments on specialty dogs were all chopped up together. Nothing appeared fresh. Very disappointed!
