In our quest for a local restaurant offering "real small town yucatecan traditional food" we stopped by Las Campanas. It is located right on the corner of the main square with a great Mexican touch and semi-elegant restaurant for a small town like Valladolid. However, we scanned their menu and "SURPRISE, SUPRISE" not a single yucatecan traditional dish. The menu... More

I liked Las Campanas. Have not yet had great food in Valladolid, but the restaurants have all been very nice. The prices are incredibly reasonable.

My family and I had an early dinner at this restaurant, on our way back to Cancun from Chichen Itza. It was conveniently located, right on the town square, although finding a parking space was a bit of a challenge. The food was flavorful and seemed to be representative of the local cuisine. The items were reasonably priced. The service... More

Nicely located on the main square, just across from the church. We went for an early dinner. By the end of the meal, there was life music on the site, giving a a very fine ambiance to the restaurant: like a back ground music in a fancy lobby of some hotel!!! The food was outstanding, with very authentic dishes from... More

I've been here a few times and I'm sorry to say that it's getting worse. I guess they're getting too comfortable with so many tourists coming in without having to make any effort. The location is superb but the service is slower every time and they seem to be thinking about something else all the time. They offer "Yucatecan food"... More

After having nothing but wonderful meals for 2 weeks traveling the Yucatan, we spent our last night in Valledolid and tried La Campanas after reading such good reviews. Started out with a totally impersonal waiter. My SO ordered a chicken dish and I ordered simple Panuchos (really wanted them one last time!) My guy's meal comes and we wait for... More

This is a nice place right on the main square with decent Yucatecan fare. They get pretty good traffic, so the food is fresh. And the service is good. Good for breakfast.

Located at the corner of the main square, it is easy to find. We ate lunch there and liked the easy and large menu, super friendly service and very reasonable prices. Would go there for lunch each time I am in Valladolid. They have beer if you ask for it, was not on the menu.

I really liked this place. We at there 3 times and tried something different each time. Service is quick and servings are generous. Prices were good. I don't mind other tourists and there were locals eating when we were there. I too look to eat where the locals eat but the restaurants on the main square are mostly full of... More
