Loved the gourmet flavors and being able to taste them first! I came for the salted caramel but changed my mind after tasting the Strawberry with Honey and Balsamic. Mindblowing!

The bottom line, Salt & Straw is melting. They have permanent offerings such as strawberry with cracked pepper. Had that with a honey lemon ricotta. Both were fabulous. They are patient while you taste anything you wish.

We waited about 40 minutes in line, on a Tuesday night, and are glad we stuck with it. While you're waiting, they come around and let you try a few flavors before deciding what you want. I walked to Salt & Straw from downtown. It was a pleasant walk and the ice cream was delicious. They have about 10-15 interesting flavor options. It was not the traditional list. Very good!

Went here on a whim with my brother and his family. Love the unique combinations of the favors they put together. Strawberry balsamic vinegar with cracked black pepper was yummy.

The Alberta Arts District was such a blast--even an impromptu performance art/music piece involving free quesadillas right across the street from this place--but Salt and Straw put it over the top. I've had ice cream and gelato pretty much around the world, and none of it exceeded the incredible flavors concocted here. I used to think Lapperts Ice Cream in Hawaii was the best ice cream ever, but they went downhill in quality directly in proportion to their prices going up.
