Description: Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.

Dinner here is wonderful. The atmosphere, music and service is fantastic. The menu is well laid out and very interesting and the wine list is well balanced. There was little conversation during dinner as we were all enjoying our food !

The ambiance of this Resturant changes depending. On where you are seated. Pick downstairs if you want lively and fun. The upstairs is much quieter and you miss the vitality that goes with an open kitchen. My wife and I looked forward to enjoying Peruvian food such as we enjoyed at Chifa in Philadelphia. However we were very disappointed in... More

Andina is incredible. The food selection is unique sending your taste buds to the Universe. I love their beet salad as well as the quinoa salad. Their coffee is pressed to perfection.

We were lucky to find a table on a Friday night, it is popular for a reason. Live music, nice service and damn good Peruvian food made it a very cool experience.

We were guests of friends in Portland for dinner at Andina. They offer the plates in 3 sizes which is unusual for a Tapas restaurant in my experience. Four of us shared 4 medium sized plates and it was more than enough food. All were good. ANTICUCHO DE POLLO marinated chicken kebobs, served with a spicy salsa de rocoto MORADA... More

Andina has been extremely popular since it first opened--and for a reason; the cuisine is unique and exceedingly well prepared. We couldn't get in until 9:30 on a Saturday (that was booking 2 weeks out) but we didn't mind as it gave us time to wander through the Pearl first. By the time we sat down to dinner, it was... More

From the pisco sours (a must when you are in a Peruvian restaurant) to deserts, the food was delicious. You can order any size plate for appetizers: the empanatas and chiles rellenos were noteworthy. The restaurant was crowded, and a bit noisy, but our table of four was still able to have a conversation.

Expensive but fabulous restaurant--plus, Michael works there. The menu is unique, with both small plates and full meal items. Casual attire is fine, and the wait staff is well informed and friendly.
