We lunch at Cru Cafe often when in Charleston. We LOVE it, both food and service. It is a local treasure, and we are glad we found it a couple of years ago.

We had the appetizer special- flash fried soft shell crab with arugula, blueberries and peaches-delicious and surprisingly light. Try the tile fish, a local white fish on a bed of portobello mushrooms and tomatoes.

Favorite restaurant right now in Charleston. You can sit outside on the porch if you like, the chef is excellent and the food is out of this world. Second time I've been and now my #1 place.

We were on the hunt for the best fried green tomatoes. Cru Café made this dish best. I had the duck and my husband had the salmon. Both were cooked to perfection. The wait staff was efficient but pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant.
