After walk on beach, we came here to grab a quick bite... Nothing extraordinary with food but service was fast.. Go here for drinks!!
We spent most of the day on the beach. We decided to go out for dinner. This is a hot spot during tourist season; however our trip being in October is one where there are no lines. We were seated right away & ordered a Long Island ice tea which I highly recommend along with fish & chips. We laughed... More
This place was right next door to our hotel so we could hear the night life and smell the food from our balcony day and night! I got some food for our family then took it back to our hotel room and it was probably one of the best dishes I have ever had! I had the Jamaican Shrimp Creole... More
Went here with my wife and friend. It was a beautiful evening, so we sat outside enjoying the beach weather and breeze. Tried the Crab Dip appetizer - lots of crab minimal binding. After a day on the beach it was nice to go in as we were and grab something good to eat. Conch fritters are yummy, my husband had the cuban and said it was great. Prices are decent and servers are excellent.
Over Labor Day, we enjoyed dinner at the Banana Cabana twice as the food & atmsophere were very good & the beer was COLD. The Shrimp Bog (very similar to Jambalaya) was fantastic as was the seafood. My entire family found the menu to be varied with something for everybody regardless of taste or food preference.
The shrimp basket has lots of shrimp cooked to perfection. Not too breaded and fresh. I am sure they may be packed sometimes but have a good bit of seating (inside and outside) so we have not had to wait more than 5 minutes.
I reviewed Banana Cabana in February, but was prompted to review again because of some negative comments by recent reviewers. I've eaten here many times over the past 25 years and have never been unhappy with my meal. The small kitchen turns out consistently excellent food. The flounder (not tilapia as one reviewer thought) is caught locally and delivered fresh... More
Very small menu and slow service hardly got a hello out of the staff which was unfortunate since it was the first day of our stay, needless to say we never went back even for a drink much less the food.
