This is a nice bar and it also serves food. We only had drinks as we had other dining arrangements. The service was friendly and efficient. This is a good place to have a drink.
I went there for dinner on a Sunday night. It was my first night in Memphis and I was traveling for work so I ate at the bar. It may have been because people had been there watching football all day but all the patrons were very drunk so I was a but uncomfortable. However, the food was excellent! I... More
We stopped in the midtown area for dinner our first night in Memphis. We had an appetizer of the spinach and white queso dip! This was so tasty! Some of the girls complained the chips were too salty but I love salty so they tasted great to me! I followed up with the lobster tacos. They were tasty but not... More
I stopped to eat there after dropping my brother and his wife off at the airport. Travis, my waiter, suggested the pork chop. Then he talked me into the chocolate cake for dessert. The food and service were both excellent. I will definitely eat there again.
I came here for lunch once with about 5 other coworkers and had the fish tacos. They were really good! We sat outside and it was not busy. The food took so long that two of my coworkers had to ask for it to go because they were already late getting back. It literally took about 40 minutes for the... More
Some of my favorite items are no longer on the menu and they have not been replaced with anything. The choices are fewer. Less sandwich choices and much fewer salad choices; such as the Thai noodle steak salad. The taco shells have also changed and, in my opinion, not for the better. The Sunday Brunch menu has fewer choices as... More
I work in downtown Memphis and right around the corner from Local. It is one of my fav spots to grab a hearty sit down lunch. I have liked everything I've tried on their daily specials menu including the bbq brisket, spicy slaw, with whatever else came on the side. I've heard their meatloaf is pretty delicious from a co0-worker.... More
A bunch of us headed to Local for happy hour. Not a lot of options, but what they had was pretty good. And the sweet potato bread pudding was excellent. Even folks who don't normally eat bread pudding wanted more.
We went for dinner on Labor Day and this was one of the few restaurants opened at that time. We could get a table outside and we were served promptly. It´s true that servers can be quite overwhelmed when it´s crowed; that may be fixed with extra help and I´m sure they´ll get better reviews. Food was nice and price... More
Local is locally owned by a savvy young restauranteer who knows how to keep customers happy...great food and a comfortable, easy atmosphere. The menu has been revised lately and the new items are creative and delicious. The past menus have shared these same traits. It is fun to see what's coming next as we dine there often and like to...
