After reading reviews on tripadvisor, I was expecting better food. I had the Gloria's Super Special because I wanted to try a variety of food. I was less than impressed with the food, and there are much better places to eat in Rockwall. On the other hand, the service was great!

How do you think you would go about making the famous bean dip from Gloria's restaurant.. We drove around for over hr then found this awesome Mexican restaurant it was so delicious?

I go to Gloria's a few times a year because I live locally. Some food and drink stands out: the black bean dip, the mojitos, the seafood soup, the chicken soup, the grilled shrimp, and a few others. This is NOT TexMex, do not expect that. However, the cheese enchiladas are pretty good. Ok, not great restaurant.

We went on a Tuesday around 115. It was slow and so was our server but the food always makes up for it. Order the platano frito and the brisket tacos.

We had a hard time finding the place - there was limited signage, and Google Maps didn't give directions until we asked for walking directions. Gloria's give you the most wonderful black bean dip and tortilla chips. Not everyone like spicy hot Tex Mex. Gloria's offers South American food that is flavorful but won't kill your taste buds.

We have eaten here several times...always great food with wonderful view! Some menu items are "different" than other Tex Mex restaurants and very good.
