Stopped at the Canvas Cove Bistro after a delightful boat tour with Iceburg Quest. The meal was an extremely tasty Newfoundland dish of fresh cod. It was amazing how the chef had prepared it right there in open view of the Bistro patrons. It was a meal worthy of a fine restaurant. I did not know they didn't accept debit... More

I stopped in to Twillingate for the day and had to eat at this cafe - had been told it was phenomenal! AND IT WAS! Food was delicious, service was great! Will be returning! We ate outside - was a beautiful day. My dessert was some chocolate from the Newfoundland Chocolate Company just on the pier - also delicious! Would... More

The food here was stellar. The chef is gifted and the service wonderful. Why only 4 stars? The food was as or more expensive than for comparable meals in New York City. I'm not sure why the cost is so high as rents cannot be nearly as high, but then the cost of groceries might be significantly higher. Regardless, we... More

Booked a tour on Iceberg Quest for my friends and myself. Got to the pier and found the best cafe off the Avalon! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Had the soup and sandwich and of course the carrot cake (divine!! thanks Tara!) What a great experience, a beautiful day, tour and lunch. Will definitely be doing... More

Excellent meal, free entertainment, reasonable prices and wonderful service. The owner (catch of the day),Carol Hayes, was very helpful, explaining the developing menu and where most of the ingretients came from. Ideally situated, on the waterfront, seating is also available outdoors on the deck. The chef came to our table to explain how he made the wonderful sauce that went... More

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Fogo Island -- loved it! The service was great, and the food was delicious. Lots of fresh seafood. Try the chowder (it has lobster)...and Iceberg beer, of course. I ordered the shrimp as my main dish, and it was delicious. My friends and I also tried the Screen-In banana flambé, which is... More

Our family of 6 adults recently enjoyed a terrific late lunch on the deck of the Canvas Cove Bistro. What made it so memorable was not just the quality food but the knowledgeable, flexible and friendly service provided by Kelly and Dolly: it was pure fun! Although some prices are a little on the high side, the setting and atmosphere... More

Three of us arrived in Twillingate Tue September 5th, traveling from Gros Morne Park towards St. John's. We were just coming to enjoy the sunset with a nice QuidiVidi beer and camera in hand, when we were encouraged to come back for dinner, which we did. We had the best dinner experience of our entire 10-day trip in this cozy,... More

The open floor plan, the quick server and the views of the inner harbour added to the flavour of our meal. A delightful place to sit and read relax a while. Great outdoor deck to enjoy the fresh sea air and views or sit inside and listen to the chit chat of other visitors to Newfoundland. The food was very... More
