It has been a while since I ate here ,but have eaten there for years . Have always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating , and the food to be very good.
Sal's has been a staple for locals for decades, but after declining quality and several major health code violations, it's best to skip it and head to their sister store in Blacksburg's First and Main. That place is classy and the food is back to the level it used to be at the original Sals. One caveat - the tiramasu... More
We stayed at The Comfort Inn off of IS 81. We found Sal's and gave it a try. We're from NY and I'm choosey about my Pizza. It's a' NY thing.' I think his 'Everything on it Pizza' was by far OUT STANDING!! He got the crust just right! The resturant was clean & airy. A nice place to relax... More
My son and I stopped for lunch after touring Radford Uni - had read online that it had good food and it didn't disappoint, thru the outside did not look promising. Service and food were excellent.
We read about Sal's in a few places and though the location was not so pretty, the food and service was great! Our server was friendly and catered to our specific requests (i.e. extra lemon for our delicious Romaine-lettuce Greek Salad!!!). The artichoke and olive pizza was tasty, fresh, hot and too big to finish. Overall a good experience!
While staying in Radford for the night I found Sal's on Trip Advisor. I really enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. Our server handled our table of 8 fairly well. The pizzas are delicious, and the pasta plates were more food than some at our table could handle. You should definitely check out Sal's next time you find yourself in... More
There didn't seem to be very many options for dinner in the area and so we tried Sal's. Sauce was good, and menu had alot of options from pizza to lasagna, spagehetti, steaks and seafood. Staff was friendly and service was good. Not outstanding....spaghetti wasn't drained well so watery on the plate.
Excellent pizza. Gourmet but not too pricy. Huge slices with lots of toppings. Crust is on the thinner side of handtossed. The wine is a little too pricy for me. Haven't tried anything other than the pizza, but the menu is large.
