the food was excellent, our table had the scallops and the steak "frites". Wonderful food, wonderful service, good wine. What a surprise. We wouldn't forget this meal anytime soon. Wish we were there now.

Potato bacon soup on cool night was a real winner. Not too heavy! Caesar salad was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. My husband declared that the lamb entree was "best dinner on our trip" and this includes Willard Hotel in DC. The locally made chocolates were superior in flavor and texture and a perfect ending to...

Even with reservations, seating 9 is not easy. After a 15 minute wait, we were treated to efficient and friendly service. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations and the food was served hot. Every member of our group agreed that this is a true gem that should not be missed if you will be in the Staunton area.
Not familiar with the area, but went here for a graduation dinner this weekend. Server was kind and did not rush us. Food was good and locally sourced and menu was a good variety of meat/fish. Prices are definitely on the high end for the area but was worth it.

I very much enjoyed dinner by ordering two appetizer/starters. The service was good, but a little slow on bringing me bread. But for a good reason: they were baking a new batch. Most of the items seem to offer a nice twist with some unusual local ingredients. Definitely worth going there.
We always enjoy their thoughtful menu and the fact that not everyone has to have the tasting menu. Great food, attentive service. Just had to remind our server about an extra side that was ordered. Creative cocktail menu too!
Zynandoah is a restaurant that deserves its outstanding reviews. The locally sourced food is creatively prepared and explained in detail by knowledgable waitstaff. It is a true destination restaurant and makes any trip to the Blue Ridge, American Shakespeare Center, Shenandoah Valley a memorable visit. Wherever you are from, you will come back!
We were headed to Staunton for a Sunday matinee at the Blackfriars Theatre. I discovered Zynodoa whole researching restaurants online, This restaurant is truly a find. Whenever possible, they use locally sourced produce, meat, eggs, etc. But the proof is in the cuisine. It is extraordinary. We luckily and accidentally were present at a five-course meal with wine pairings which...

What a great night - the atmosphere was just what we wanted and the food was exceptionally good. I had the shrimp over garlic ravioli - amazing!! My husband had the slow roasted pork served with the best-tasting collards he'd ever had. Our waiter, Miles, was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and made our night extra-special. Chip, our bartender, did an outstanding...
