Four of us had front row seats for this spectacular show. For that is what it is. Chefs John and Nick carry on an interactive, fun, fact-filled dialogue with patrons throughout a wonderful dinner. This is worth a special trip to Williamsburg !

Chef John and chef Nick were entertaining and very informative. There were 26 of us for dinner. Everything was prepared as we watched. Obviously a lot of prep work ahead of time. But still plating and finishing dinner before that many was impressive. Good wine pairings with each course. Live piano music with appetizers before dinner. 5 courses. A lot... More

Was originally on the wait list, as this place is booked months earlier. Was able to have a cancellation in our favor and WOW what a treat! The whole event is wonderfully orchestrated from start to end. John and Nick prepared more that just great dishes but added good cooking tips and comforting stories that wished you lived nearby. The... More

We had always heard great things about this restaurant and were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the experience was unique. We were three couples from NC and we planned our trip to Williamsburg around our dinner plans. We look forward to returning for another memorable dining experience.

Chef John and Chef Nick put on another amazing show! Dinner started out with red beet hummus on pumpernickle crostinis floowed by a velvety smooth creamy vidalia and morel mushroom suop taht was a meal in itself. The avocado, arugula, strawberry salad was accompanied by the chef's kitchen signature corn bread....amazing!!! Already our palates are on high alert and we... More

We read all the positive reviews on this establishment and were happy they were all right on. We had a terrific experience here, from Chef John to his staff to the food itself. Everything runs very smoothly. It is a relaxed atmosphere where humor, cooking tips and culinary delights are all mixed in. I was suprised how many people were... More

The chef said he was inspired to create this restaurant after watching Emeril Live in which VIPs were able to share the dishes he prepared on his show. Chef John wanted the entire audience to experience it, so he started a restaurant in which he prepares the entire dinner before his guests and explains the processes along the way. He... More

I had dinner last night at this restaurant, and it was one of the best culinary experiences I have had anywhere! I have eaten at a couple of other "teaching" restaurants, or restaurants where you get to watch the chef prepare the food, but "A Chef's Kitchen" was head and shoulders above the rest. Chef John was great about explaining... More
