When in Leavenworth, we ALWAYS dine here. The food is fresh and delicious. Service is great and the pies are homemade. prime rib strogonoff is "to die for". This is a definite dining delight!

The Tumwater Inn Restaurant was a delightful "find" for us for breakfast the Saturday we visited Leavenworth. We liked the friendly service and the tasty breakfast--eggs, toast, oatmeal, juice, fresh fruit-- nothing fancy, just tasty and just like home. Previous reviewers have complained of older clientele--well we fit that description and there were families with children there too. Another reviewer... More

Grilled Cod - tasteless, accompanied by a g-d awful weird dip which seemed to taste the same as an equally weird dip known elsewhere as Tartar Sauce, that was provided with fish and chips (chips from a grocery freezer). Soup, very thick, but flat taste. Brussel Sprouts were swimming in water, no taste. The magical word is "spice", apparently unheard... More

I'm surprised by the reviews of 4 and higher. This is nothing more than a country Denny's. The country décor is old and outdated. The vast majority of people in the restaurant were well over 70! I don't have a problem with people being older. I'm just setting the scene. One of the big menu items is the Rib Eye... More

Nice place for dinner on a side street. The staff was pleasant and the food was good. Particularly the salad with pulled pork, apples and pecans. Sounded intriging on the menu and it was delicious.

Nondescript service and drinks, nothing special but at least you could drink past 10pm when everything else was closed... Unimpressed.

Neat bar area. Small but quaint. They pour a good drink, and the happy hour cannot be beat. Close to most things. Great place for the wives to tether you to the bar while they go shopping.

As a local, the Tumwater is my favorite place to eat in Leavenworth. Over the years I have sent many people there and gotten good feed back from them. It's family style dining or if you want privacy and a more intimate atmosphere eat in the lounge. It's looking wonderful now for Christmas but is always clean and cozy. Good... More
